Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains how the Korum early-access waitlist website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can manage them. It covers the waitlist website only.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include browser local storage. They can keep you signed in, maintain security, and remember your preferences.

2. Our approach

The waitlist is privacy-first. We run no analytics, advertising, marketing, retargeting, or tracking cookies. We use only strictly-necessary cookies and storage to operate the site, keep it secure, and remember your cookie choice. Nothing non-essential is loaded before you consent.

3. Cookies and storage we use

An ordinary visit to the waitlist sets no first-party cookies. The strictly-necessary items are:

NameProviderCategoryPurposeDuration
wl_adminWorldhire (first-party)Strictly necessaryKeeps an administrator signed in to the waitlist admin area. Set only after admin login - never for ordinary visitors.Session (cleared when the browser closes)
wh-cookie-consent (browser local storage, not a cookie)Worldhire (first-party)Strictly necessary - consentStores your cookie-preference choices so we can honour them. Set after you make a choice in the cookie banner.Until you clear it
Cloudflare Turnstile security cookieCloudflare (third-party)Strictly necessary - securitySet by Cloudflare when the anti-bot challenge runs on the sign-up form, to protect it from automated abuse. Short-lived and confined to Cloudflare's challenge domain.Session / short-lived (set by Cloudflare)

To protect the sign-up form from automated abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving CAPTCHA. It loads a script from Cloudflare on the waitlist page and may set a short-lived, strictly-necessary security cookie on Cloudflare's challenge domain. Turnstile is designed not to track you or use your data for advertising, and it is the only third-party script the waitlist loads. Because it is strictly necessary to keep sign-up secure, it runs without requiring consent.

4. Consent and your choices

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or Manage Preferences. Because we currently use only strictly-necessary cookies, rejecting non-essential cookies changes nothing today - but the controls are in place for the future. You can reopen Cookie Preferences any time from the footer.

The preference centre has these categories:

  • Strictly Necessary - always active; cannot be switched off.
  • Preferences - off unless you turn it on.
  • Analytics - off unless you turn it on.
  • Marketing / Advertising - off unless you turn it on.
  • Security / Fraud Prevention - off unless you turn it on.
  • Payment / Billing - off unless you turn it on.

Non-essential categories stay off unless you give consent. If we ever add cookies in those categories, we will list them here and load them only after you opt in.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies, and clear browser storage. Controls vary by browser and device - see your browser's help section. If you clear cookies and storage, your saved cookie preference will be removed and you may be asked to choose again.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as the website changes. The current version is shown by the date at the top of this page.
