We are looking for you, a commercially minded and curious

Senior Marketing Specialist / Marketing Manager

In Ylöjärvi or Helsinki.

Your core task is to build demand for our electricity storage business in Europe through strong product marketing. You will develop and implement marketing that reaches the right customers, makes the value of our solutions understandable and generates high-quality leads. At the same time, you will develop the go-to-market model together with sales and product management.

Main areas of responsibility:

1) Developing the demand generation model
You plan how we build interest and demand in selected target groups. You combine customer profiles, content, campaigns, webinars and other touchpoints into functioning customer journeys. Your work is guided by business objectives and an understanding of how customers buy and how technical B2B sales work.

2) Developing product marketing and commercial messages
You develop the positioning of our electricity storage offering and shape the value proposition and core messages together with sales and product management. You make the customer value and differentiation of our solutions visible to different target groups, such as investors, energy companies and consultants.

3) Delivering content and campaigns
You plan and produce, for example, product and industry pages, customer stories, expert content, sales materials and webinars. You take part in writing and implementation yourself and steer external partners where needed.

4) Results-driven and learning marketing
You are responsible for the demand generation objectives of your own business area. You monitor the number and quality of leads and their progression into sales opportunities. You use results and customer feedback to develop content, campaigns and customer journeys.

The role offers the opportunity to expand responsibilities to cover other business areas as well. The more detailed level of responsibility and job title will be defined based on the experience and competence of the selected person. The final content of the role will be agreed together.

What we expect

You have several years of experience in B2B product marketing and demand generation in cooperation with sales. You can explain by example what you have built, what your own contribution was and what results were achieved. A relevant higher education degree is an advantage.

In this role you especially need:

💡Customer-oriented and commercial thinking. You can connect a technical solution to the customer's needs, benefits and the basis of purchase decisions.

💡 Strong content competence. You understand both people and technology. You communicate clearly and make complex technology understandable.

💡 Planning and execution ability. You build goal-oriented entities and take them into practical implementation.

💡 Collaboration and influencing skills. You enjoy working together and dare to challenge established ways of working and take new ideas forward in an international environment.

💡Curious drive to grow. You want to develop and grow. You get started without prejudice.

You communicate fluently in English and produce content in Finnish as well. A background in technology, energy or industry helps you get up to speed quickly, but above all we value your ability and enthusiasm to take ownership of a technically demanding whole. Knowledge of the energy sector or international business and German language skills are considered an advantage.

Where you work

Your workplace can be either in Ylöjärvi or in Helsinki (Epicenter). The role will bring you regularly to the Ylöjärvi head office, as we want you to be an active part of the organisation, the team and our shared work. You should be ready to travel to international trade fairs and partner events.

Why Merus Power?

You get a clear area of responsibility and a significant growth opportunity in a Finnish technology company. Your work will be visible in the marketing of our energy storage solutions, in our international growth and in advancing the green transition.

You get room to make decisions and grow in your role, but you will not be alone: around you are experts in sales, product management, technology and business with whom you will take shared goals forward. Your team includes a Growth Marketing Lead, a Marketing Specialist and a Marketing Coordinator.

Your line manager is Head of Marketing Mikko Tuomaala: “The growth and development of team members is the starting point of my management work. Sustainable top results are created together. We are curious, we get started and we support each other.”

We offer comprehensive staff benefits, which include, among others, extensive occupational health care, work and leisure travel insurance, lunch, sports, culture and wellbeing benefits, and performance-based rewards.

The level of responsibility is shaped according to the experience and competence of the selected person, which is why there is also flexibility in pay. The indicative monthly salary is approximately EUR 4,000-5,000, and the overall package will be agreed based on the scope of the role and your competence.

Come and help build the future of Europe's energy system!
