Construction Coordinator Electrical & Automation (Chile)

ISS International Spa is looking for a Construction Coordinator for electrical and automation (E&A) systems for the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) Project at Cerro Armazones, Chile.

The role will be responsible for coordinating, controlling and supporting field construction activities, ensuring alignment between engineering, construction, commissioning, HSE, QA/QC, logistics and project management, as far as relevant to its discipline (E&A). The position must ensure the proper progress of activities according to operational priorities, quality standards, safety requirements and programme objectives.

Requirements and skills required:

• Technical diploma or degree in electrical, electrotechnical, automation, mechanical, industrial or equivalent fields.

• Professional experience preferably of no less than 8-10 years in complex industrial, infrastructure or EPC construction sites.

• Specific experience in construction coordination roles, field supervision or management of multidisciplinary interfaces.

• Experience managing operational teams, subcontractors, suppliers and discipline supervisors.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, electrical diagrams, P&ID, isometrics, datasheets, method statements and site technical documentation.

  Ability to coordinate installation, assembly, completion, punch list closure and preparation of areas for the subsequent handover to commissioning.

• Good knowledge of English; knowledge of Spanish is a preferred qualification.

• Willingness to work in Chile, at a project site located at approx. 3,000 m above sea level, according to the rotation schedule set by the project.

Position details:

• Place of work: Cerro Armazones (Chile)

• Expected start: ASAP

• Duration: 12 months, extendable to approx. 20

• Working hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; overtime expected

• Rotation: 90 days ON / 15 days OFF plus travel days

• Way of working: full time, on site

• Contract type: fixed-term employment with ISS International S.p.A.

• Collective agreement applied: Cisal Terziario Commercio

• Indicative grading: B2

• Expected salary range: indicative gross annual salary (RAL) between approx. €35,000 and €40,000, defined on the basis of experience, skills and applicable grading, according to objective criteria neutral with respect to gender.

• Overseas allowance: an additional financial treatment linked to the overseas assignment is provided, depending on the destination site and the conditions of the assignment.
