About the role
Role Summary
We're looking for a Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team building a high-performance simulation platform. This is primarily a people-management role — you'll own delivery, coordinate across engineering disciplines, and keep the team unblocked — backed by enough technical fluency to have credible conversations with your engineers.
Responsibilities
- Manage sprint/release planning, timelines, and cross-team dependencies
- Run standups, retros, and stakeholder reporting
- Translate business/product requirements into engineering-ready tasks
- Identify technical risks early by working closely with tech leads
- Manage resourcing across backend, simulation/numerical, and UI teams
- Own documentation hygiene and change-management process for the team
- Interface with leadership on progress, risks, and roadmap
- 8+ years managing software engineering teams (Agile/Scrum)
- Working familiarity with distributed systems, HPC/batch job environments (e.g., SLURM-style schedulers), or scientific/simulation software
- Comfortable reading architecture docs and asking sharp questions
- Experience managing teams spanning multiple languages/stacks (e.g., C++ core + Python/web layers)
- Strong stakeholder communication and conflict resolution skills
Nice to Have
- Prior PM experience in defense, aerospace, or simulation/training systems
- Exposure to REST/event-driven architectures
