Hotel Casa is looking for an experienced Senior Barista. You can not only pull the best espressos, but also know how to inspire a team and bring guests a smile with every cup of coffee. As Senior Barista you are the face of our coffee bar and the driving force behind the team.

A day as...

You start your day with a good cup of coffee (what a surprise!) and together with the barista you kick off the day. You are aware of the day's schedule and are prepared for a dynamic working day in a hotel. With you on the floor, the shift runs like a dream. Guests are warmly welcomed and get the most delicious coffees.

As a "coffee nerd" you can fully indulge yourself in our coffee bar. You have a real passion for coffee and enjoy passing this on to our guests and team. At the coffee bar we work with roasteries that are just as passionate as we are. 

Together with the Restaurant Manager you lead the team and make sure everyone can do their job. At the end of your working day you thank your team for their fantastic commitment, hand over to the evening team, and taste the new filter coffee of the upcoming guest roaster before cycling home satisfied. 

You...

• Have experience as a Barista and experience with leading people in hospitality;
  

• Are highly guest-oriented;
  

• Have a great affinity with everything related to coffee and tea;
  

• Are eager to learn, independent & flexible;
  

• You are also available at weekends (don't worry, you won't work the whole weekend)!
  

• Are a motivator: even on super busy days you know how to motivate the team!
  

• Are a team player who enjoys working with young and enthusiastic colleagues;
  

• Have SCA Barista Skills, or want to obtain them;
  

• Speak Dutch and English.

Your responsibilities...

• You ensure a warm welcome to all our guests from you and the team;
  

• You know how to inform guests well about our types of coffee and the different beans;
  

• Support colleagues in restaurant EAST where needed;
  

• You work together with the Restaurant Manager and support in leading and coaching the team;
  

• You have sufficient knowledge of Food and Beverage and enjoy developing further in this area. You also ensure that your colleagues receive training to guarantee the right knowledge and skills within the team;
  

• Composing our coffee menu and monthly specials;
  

• Contact with suppliers, agreeing prices and keeping track of the range;
  

• Quality-focused, you ensure that quality is maintained.

• Salary: between €2,505 and €2,700 gross per month based on a 38-hour working week, when you are 20 years or older (Scale 5 Horeca CAO). This is exclusive of 8% holiday allowance. Based on your experience we will place you on the scale;

You certainly won't do all this alone! As Senior Barista you become part of Team EAST. A young, driven team with a passion for F&B. As in the rest of the hotel, there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the department, so you will quickly feel at home. Your manager is Gerben, the Restaurant Manager.
