Senior Project Planner Livorno

ISS International S.p.A. is looking for a Senior Project Planner for Project Planning activities within the execution phase of a major industrial development project in the Livorno area.

The search is aimed at senior professionals with proven experience in planning and progress control of complex industrial projects, with particular reference to the construction/erection and commissioning phases, preferably gained in the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Energy, EPC or industrial plant sectors.

Initial salary / expected pay range: indicative gross annual salary between €25,000 and €35,000, defined on the basis of experience, skills and applicable classification, according to objective criteria that are neutral with respect to gender.

Additional allowances and/or indemnities may also be considered, depending on the professional profile, experience and specific conditions applicable to the project.

Meals, accommodation and transport are not provided and remain the responsibility of the candidate. The opportunity is therefore particularly suited to candidates already resident or domiciled in the Livorno area and neighbouring zones, or who are logistically self-sufficient.

Main activities

The candidate will be placed within Project Management / Project Control and will follow planning activities during the execution phase of the project, with particular attention to erection and commissioning activities, being responsible in particular for:

• Preparation, updating and monitoring of project programmes and schedules;

• Planning and control of activities during the construction, erection and commissioning phases;

• Monitoring of the physical progress of activities against the baseline, milestones and contractual deadlines;

• Analysis of deviations between planned and actual progress and identification of any critical issues;

• Updating of work programmes and preparation of forecasts and forecast scenarios;

• Analysis of the critical path and the main interdependencies between activities and disciplines;

• Preparation of periodic reports, progress curves, KPIs and planning documentation;

• Collection, verification and consolidation of information from the various disciplines, contractors and functions involved in the project;

• Support to Project Management in assessing progress status and operational priorities;

• Use and updating of planning systems and project management and reporting tools.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in Project Planning / Project Control on complex industrial projects;

• Significant experience in planning projects in the execution phase, preferably during construction, erection and commissioning activities;

• Preferred background in the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Energy, EPC or industrial plant sectors;

• Excellent knowledge of the main processes of project scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting and critical path analysis;

• Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6;

• Good/excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project;

• Knowledge of SAP;

• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with particular reference to Excel;

• Knowledge of the standards, procedures and methodologies of Project Management and Project Control adopted by leading international operators in the Energy sector is a preferred qualification;

• Excellent analytical, organisational and coordination skills;

• Excellent command of Italian and English;

• Willingness to work permanently in Livorno for the entire planned duration of the assignment.
