Principal Consultant* - Project Manager Credit and Capital Management

Lead complex transformation programmes in lending with strong governance, structured delivery and effective stakeholder management.

Your role

As Principal Consultant* - Project Manager in Credit & Capital Management, you lead impactful consulting projects for leading global banks. You are responsible for programme mobilisation, delivery governance, dependency management and stakeholder alignment in large-scale transformation initiatives in the credit environment. The role combines strategic direction with the operational leadership of interdisciplinary teams.

Your responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of complex programmes in credit and capital management - from mobilisation through to implementation
• Building and managing robust governance structures, delivery plans, RAID management and reporting at management level
• Coordinating business, technology, data, risk and operations teams across the entire credit process
• Steering decision-making processes, finding solutions to challenges and ensuring stakeholder alignment in dynamic, regulated environments
• Supporting client leadership with programme management, value realisation and implementation planning to ensure measurable results

Your profile

• Many years of experience in project or programme management within financial services, ideally in credit, lending or risk transformation environments
• Sound understanding of credit and capital management processes (e.g. origination, underwriting, portfolio monitoring and regulatory requirements)
• Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programmes in corporate, commercial or wholesale banking
• Experience with agile, hybrid or traditional delivery methods and in managing interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and delivery skills, including experience with senior governance committees
• Fluent German and English, and willingness to travel

Nice to have

• Experience with Basel or other regulatory transformation initiatives in capital management
• Knowledge of data-driven transformation, workflow digitisation or implementation of lending platforms
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum or SAFe
• Experience in international consulting environments
