About the role
Lyst is a global fashion shopping platform founded in London in 2010 and catering to over 160M shoppers per year. We offer our customers the largest assortment of premium and luxury fashion products in one place, curating pieces from 27,000 of the world's leading brands and stores. In 2025, Lyst joined Zozo, operators of Zozotown, the leading fashion e-commerce platform in Japan. This partnership marks a bold new era for Lyst, as we accelerate our vision and work together to transform the future of fashion shopping through AI and technology.
We're investing in our team to build the kind of personal, intelligent, and delightful experience our shoppers deserve, and we're only just getting started. Now we need a sharp design mind to help us get there.
Who are you
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team: someone who can bring outstanding design thinking together with a sharp instinct for what makes our users sign up, search, discover, purchase and keep coming back for more. A background in fashion or ecommerce is highly desirable; you'll understand our users and their world faster, and bring insight the team can build on from day one. Just as important is how you think: can you wrestle ambiguity into clarity, see past the next two sprints, and spot where AI can genuinely transform both how we build and what we build? We want someone bold, someone brave, someone ready to help redefine what design can do here, and raise the design team's profile while doing it
Responsibilities
- Partner with our Product Design Lead and product team to shape the UX and UI of new AI-driven features and releases
- Work closely with our user researcher, turning data and insight into sharp, user-centred design decisions
- Build prototypes and high-fidelity mockups that bring your ideas to life fast
- Keep our design system tight, consistent, and scalable across the product
- Mentor junior designers and help build a culture of sharp feedback and constant improvement
- Work hand-in-hand with engineers to make sure great design ships as great product
- Pitch and defend your design thinking to stakeholders with confidence and clarity
- Stay ahead of what AI and design are doing next and bring that thinking back to the team
- Strong product design acumen, with real fluency in AI-native or AI-augmented product experiences
- Experience in eCommerce or fashion is a bonus, not a prerequisite
- Comfortable picking up any tool the job calls for: Figma, Replit, Claude, whatever gets it done
- A track record of building, maintaining and scaling design systems
- Experience designing for native mobile apps (iOS/Android), alongside web
- Sharp collaborator. You work fast and well across product, research, and engineering
- A genuinely user-centred approach, fluent in both qualitative and quantitative research
- Commercial instincts. You get how the business works and design with that in mind
- Comfortable juggling multiple fast-moving projects without dropping quality
- An eye for detail and a real passion for delightful experiences
- Open to giving and receiving direct feedback, you're always sharpening your craft and supporting others to do so too
- A portfolio that shows range across platforms and proves you can turn ambiguity into great UX/UI
