(Senior) Consultant* - Business Analyst Payments (Pricing and Billing)

Support the transformation of pricing and billing processes in payments through sound analysis and structured business design.

Your role

As a (Senior) Consultant* - Business Analyst in Payments with a focus on Pricing & Billing, you support strategic transformation initiatives at financial institutions that are modernising their pricing models, billing processes and commercial offerings. You work closely with product, finance, operations and technology teams to analyse requirements, define solutions and implement scalable pricing and billing capabilities. This role requires a combination of payments expertise, commercial understanding and analytical precision.

Your tasks

• Gathering and documenting requirements on fee structures, pricing models, billing events, invoicing, adjustments and revenue reporting in payments
• Analysing existing processes and supporting the target-state definition for pricing and billing platforms, controls and operational workflows
• Translating business requirements into functional specifications for pricing engines, billing systems, product configuration and reporting solutions
• Collaborating with product, finance, operations and technology teams to ensure economically sound and operationally feasible solutions
• Supporting testing activities, reconciliation processes, UAT and implementation in pricing and billing transformation programmes

Your profile

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in payments, transaction banking, billing or pricing environments
• In-depth understanding of commercial and operational processes related to pricing, fee models, invoicing and the prevention of revenue leakage
• Experience in structuring complex commercial requirements and turning them into actionable solutions
• Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders from product, finance, operations and IT
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills in client-focused project environments
• Fluent German and English skills and willingness to travel

Nice to have

• Knowledge of fee engine design, pricing governance, billing transparency or product profitability
• Experience with reporting, reconciliation or data analysis tools in payments
• Consulting experience or participation in transformation programmes in the banking or payments environment
• Experience in international project environments
