The Group Account Director for Google.Monks Events & Experiences is a senior leadership role at the intersection of client partnership, commercial growth, executive production and team leadership.
You’ll lead and grow key client relationships while providing senior oversight across high-profile experiential, digital and integrated programs from pitch through delivery. You’ll identify and shape new opportunities, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and ensure the work we sell is creatively ambitious, operationally sound, commercially viable, and delivered to the highest standard.
As a senior point of accountability, you’ll guide producers, project managers and cross-functional teams while maintaining oversight of financial health, scope, resourcing, timelines, quality and client satisfaction.
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented leader who can move seamlessly between senior client counsel, business development, executive production and complex delivery.
Responsibilities:Client Partnership & Growth
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their business priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
- Proactively identify, shape, pitch, and capture organic growth opportunities, expanding individual engagements into larger strategic programs.
- Serve as a senior client partner, maintaining confidence through clear communication, thoughtful counsel, and a solutions-first approach.
- Lead strategic client conversations, business reviews and planning sessions that demonstrate value and identify future opportunities.
- Represent Monks Events & Experiences internally and externally, identifying opportunities to bring broader Monks capabilities into the relationship.
Executive Production & Delivery
- Provide senior production leadership across complex experiential, digital, and integrated programs from pitch through execution.
- Oversee approximately $2-8M USD in active project revenue, ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance.
- Maintain oversight of scope, timeline, budget, margin, resourcing, risk and quality across multiple concurrent programs.
- Guide Producers and Project Managers, ensuring teams operate proactively and effectively across creative, strategy, technology, and production.
- Serve as a first touchpoint for complex delivery challenges, helping teams navigate ambiguity, shifting requirements, and compressed timelines.
- Maintain accountability for the vision and estimates established during pitch through execution, balancing creative ambition with operational and financial realities.
Commercial & Financial Leadership
- Support the financial health of the portfolio, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, pipeline, scope management and resource planning.
- Partner with finance and production leadership to ensure opportunities are appropriately scoped, staffed, and structured for sustainable profitability.
- Maintain visibility into the opportunity pipeline and use project and account performance to inform future staffing, pricing, and growth strategy.
- Build commercial awareness across the team, ensuring delivery decisions support both client value and business performance.
Pitches & New Opportunities
- Lead high-impact pitches and proposals across experiential, events, digital experiences, emerging technology, and integrated programs.
- Translate client challenges into compelling, executable solutions in partnership with creative, strategy, technology, and production leadership.
- Shape the production approach, scope, team, timeline, and commercial model from the earliest stages of an opportunity.
- Proactively bring new ideas, technologies, capabilities, and creative formats to clients rather than waiting for formal briefs.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop Producers, Project Managers, and client leaders, creating a high-performing and commercially aware team.
- Establish clear roles and accountability across complex, cross-functional teams.
- Partner with leadership to forecast talent needs, build scalable staffing models, and ensure the right capabilities are available for upcoming opportunities.
Innovation & Operational Excellence
- Build strong collaboration across physical production, digital, creative, technology, strategy, and client leadership.
- Identify risks early and proactively establish solutions before they impact the client, team, timeline, or financial performance.
- Champion innovation across AI, experiential/events, immersive and interactive experiences, live production, and emerging technology.
- Leverage data, analytics, client feedback, and financial performance to continuously improve programs and demonstrate measurable impact.
- Turn successful work into compelling proof points and case studies that strengthen the client relationship and unlock future opportunities.
The essentials:
- 10+ years of experience across experiential production, client leadership and account management, ideally within an integrated agency.
- Significant experience leading complex, high-profile experiential and integrated programs from pitch through execution.
- Proven ability to build trusted senior client relationships and navigate complex enterprise organizations.
- Strong business development experience, including identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, writing proposals, and leading pitches.
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar portfolios with strong knowledge of scope, forecasting, margin, resourcing, and commercial performance.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale high-performing Producers, Project Managers, account leaders, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of experiential production with the ability to operate confidently across physical, digital, technical, and creative workstreams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence.
- Highly solutions-oriented, with the judgment and composure to lead teams and clients through ambiguity and high-pressure delivery.
- A tech-forward mindset with strong AI literacy and curiosity around emerging technology, culture, and new creative formats.
- A collaborative, high-EQ leadership style with the ability to build trust across teams, disciplines, and cultures.

This role offers location-based salary ranges. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and location.
This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
