Emeria Technologies
Required skills
About the role
Translated into English from French by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
The team and context
You are joining Emeria Technologies, the digital subsidiary of the Emeria group, which designs and develops its own ERP, Millenium, dedicated to the real estate sector.
To support the growing maturity of our quality approach, we are looking for a profile capable of structuring existing practices, defining a long-term strategic vision and sustainably developing our testing processes.
Today, our documentation needs to become more reliable and clearer, while our test plans need to be optimised to better meet users' needs. Your role will be to structure and harmonise our QA practices, make our documentation more reliable and optimise our testing strategy, with a clear objective: improve customer satisfaction and sustainably reduce the number of bugs encountered per user.
The missions
You are the guarantor of the quality of Millenium, from product scoping to the final user experience.
Your objective: ensure a reliable application day to day, simple to pick up, where everyone can easily find the right information. Your priority will be to produce a rapport d'étonnement in order to build the overall strategy.
Reporting to the CTO, your responsibilities include the following:
Build a modern and effective quality strategy
You build a quality strategy suited to a complex ERP. You prioritise actions according to risk, user impact and expected gains, and adjust resources based on results.
You define common standards with the Product Managers, Engineering Managers, QA, SRE and Support: acceptance criteria, non-regression and preparation of production releases.
You get involved from the scoping stage to clarify needs and business rules, with concrete examples of expected results following the Specification by Example approach.
You integrate certification and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, etc.) into the quality strategy, in liaison with the cybersecurity division and the group.
You combine testing, exploratory testing, automation and uses of AI. You develop tools and practices to detect defects earlier and reduce repetitive checks.
Develop quality practices
You lead change within the teams: diagnosis, selection of simple tools and day-to-day support (training, examples, feedback), integrating quality checks into everyday work.
You present results, risks and decisions to be taken to management and the CODIR. You propose realistic priorities, explain resource requirements and follow up on agreed commitments.
Manage the AQA
You co-build the automation roadmap with the AQA on critical journeys and steer test reliability.
You rely on their expertise for tool selection and the implementation of automated tests.
You oversee AI experimentation (scenario generation, ticket analysis) and measure quality and efficiency gains.
Lead and grow the teams
You build and manage the functional testing team as needed: recruitment, onboarding, workload planning and skills development.
You support the AQA: objectives, priorities, regular check-ins, feedback and development of technical and functional skills.
You unite functional and technical profiles around a common quality direction, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge with business experts.
Design and manage explicit testing
You structure clear test plans (prerequisites, datasets, evidence) covering end-to-end journeys, edge cases and user errors.
You organise testing and non-regression campaigns with business referents: scope, planning and tracking of defects through to correction.
Secure releases and their deployment
You consolidate evidence of validation, open defects and residual risks. You provide a reasoned quality opinion to inform the production release decision with Product and Tech.
You define deployment checks with developers and SRE (success criteria, post-production verifications, rollback plan) and monitor first usage with Ops/Support.
Service quality
You analyse field feedback (tickets, recurring incidents) to turn it into preventive actions and reduce user frustrations.
You integrate ease of use and supportability into quality criteria: understandable journeys, explicit errors, information useful for diagnosis and support procedures.
You ensure, with Product and Support, that clear, up-to-date and genuinely useful user documentation is made available
Profile
ERP/complex software expertise: You have senior experience managing quality on complex management software or ERPs, within a SaaS publisher.
Management & structuring: You have proven experience in team management, supervising functional and technical profiles, and structuring an overall quality approach.
Mastery of testing: You master functional testing, non-regression strategies and release validation, knowing how to formalise precise and usable test plans.
User vision & supportability: You have concrete experience of field usage and user documentation. You know how to make the direct link between business rules, user experience and quality decisions.
Dialogue & arbitration: You can communicate with Support, R&D and Product management. You communicate clearly, know how to raise alerts early and propose balanced trade-offs between quality, deadlines and capacity.
Automation & AI: Without being a pure developer, you understand the stakes of automation and can assess (with the support of specialists) uses of AI applied to testing and ticket analysis
Technical culture: Your technical culture allows you to talk easily with the AQA and development teams.
Certification & compliance: You have already worked on one or several key standards and regulations for a SaaS publisher in Europe and the United States (SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIS2, EU AI Act…). Without being an expert, you know how to contribute to a certification and compliance approach.
Application security: You have a good awareness of application security (OWASP, security testing SAST/DAST/SCA integrated in CI/CD, coordination of pentests) and are comfortable discussing compliance topics with our cybersecurity division (NIST/eIDAS governance: electronic signature, encryption, IAM).
Testing and performance tools: You have used leading back-end/front-end test automation tools (Playwright, etc.) and performance tools (Dynatrace or equivalent).
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential for daily communication
