ABGi Technology is recruiting on behalf of its client, a large industrial group in the energy sector, for its future Senior Infrastructure / Network / Security Project Manager, based in Lyon.

🔎 YOUR MISSIONS

As part of strategic projects to transform and modernise its IT, network and cybersecurity infrastructure, our client wishes to strengthen its teams with an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager.

You will work in a demanding industrial environment, characterised by critical infrastructure, strong security constraints, and requirements for availability and business continuity.

Your role will be to manage complex technical projects, from scoping through to go-live, ensuring compliance with commitments on cost, quality, deadlines and security.

You will work closely with business and technical management, operations teams, infrastructure and cybersecurity experts, as well as suppliers, integrators and external service providers.

The missions entrusted to you:

Project management and control:

  • Manage projects to transform, modernise or rebuild IT, network and security infrastructure;

  • Define the objectives, scopes, milestones and deliverables of the projects;

  • Build, maintain and monitor complex schedules by coordinating the various phases of delivery;

  • Steer projects according to cost, quality and deadline criteria;

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, anticipate overruns and propose necessary corrective actions;

  • Identify, analyse and monitor technical, organisational and operational risks;

  • Define and manage risk mitigation plans;

  • Adapt project management methodologies to the contexts encountered: Agile, V-Model or hybrid approaches;

  • Monitor dependencies and arbitrate priorities according to operational constraints.

Governance and stakeholder coordination:

  • Organise and lead progress meetings, technical workshops, operational committees and steering committees;

  • Prepare and present progress reports to sponsors, technical leads and business management;

  • Ensure coordination between network, systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure and operations teams;

  • Facilitate communication and decision-making among the various project participants;

  • Identify blockages and carry out the necessary escalations;

  • Ensure information flows well and that actions are consistent across stakeholders;

  • Support teams in implementing technical and organisational changes.

Management of suppliers and integrators:

  • Coordinate the work of service providers, integrators and technical suppliers;

  • Monitor contractual commitments, deadlines and the quality of services;

  • Verify that deliverables comply with technical and functional requirements;

  • Anticipate supplier risks and manage any deviations or difficulties;

  • Organise technical exchanges and ensure the resolution of blocking issues.

Technical follow-up and support for transformations:

  • Manage projects involving network, telecommunications, systems and cybersecurity infrastructure;

  • Understand existing technical architectures and the issues associated with their transformation;

  • Work with technical experts to ensure the consistency of proposed solutions;

  • Ensure that security, availability and business continuity constraints are taken into account;

  • Support the various phases of design, integration, validation and go-live;

  • Coordinate projects in critical or heavily regulated industrial environments;

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methods, tools and processes.

🎯 OUR REQUIREMENTS

Required skills and experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in managing complex technical projects, ideally between 8 and 15 years;

  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, network, telecommunications or cybersecurity projects;

  • Mastery of project management: planning, budget management, monitoring of costs, quality and deadlines;

  • Solid experience in risk management, identification of dependencies and implementation of mitigation plans;

  • Mastery of Agile, V-Model and hybrid methodologies;

  • Good command of JIRA, particularly for tracking User Stories, tasks and Agile reporting;

  • Experience organising and leading steering committees, governance meetings and technical workshops;

  • Ability to produce structured reports and communicate with senior management;

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders;

  • Experience managing suppliers, service providers and technical integrators;

  • Good understanding of network, systems, infrastructure and cybersecurity architectures and environments;

  • Experience in transformation or rebuilding projects for critical technical infrastructure;

  • Knowledge of ITSM tools, incident and request management, and governance processes;

  • Good command of collaborative tools, particularly Microsoft Teams.

The following skills are considered real advantages:

  • Experience in network or telecoms infrastructure modernisation projects;

  • Experience managing projects to secure or transform IT infrastructure;

  • Good understanding of availability, resilience and business continuity issues;

  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance constraints of critical infrastructure;

  • Experience coordinating between production, operations, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams;

  • Ability to manage several technical workstreams simultaneously;

  • Experience managing projects involving major technical changes, migrations or infrastructure rebuilds.

Experience in a demanding or heavily regulated industrial environment is a real advantage, particularly in the sectors of energy, telecommunications, transport, defence, critical infrastructure or industry.

👤 PROFILE SOUGHT

With a Bac+3 to Bac+5 qualification in IT, networks, telecommunications, cybersecurity or technical project management, or an equivalent professional background, you have at least 8 years of experience managing complex technical projects.
