🔎 YOUR MISSIONS

As part of a programme to modernise and secure its IT infrastructure, our client wishes to strengthen its teams with a Senior Kubernetes & Ansible Expert, specialised in the architecture, deployment and operation of containerisation and orchestration platforms.

This programme aims to design and maintain robust, secure, highly available and scalable infrastructures, capable of hosting and orchestrating containerised applications in a critical industrial environment.

You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of Kubernetes platforms, from designing architectures through to operation in production, including deployment, integration, version upgrades, monitoring and business continuity management.

Your role will also be to ensure the reliability, performance and security of the infrastructures, while supporting internal teams in building their skills.

The missions you will be asked to carry out:

Architecture and design of Kubernetes platforms:

• Design and document containerisation and orchestration technical architectures adapted to the client's needs;

• Define robust, secure, scalable and highly available Kubernetes architectures;

• Take part in technical choices concerning enterprise Kubernetes platforms and orchestration solutions;

• Integrate the constraints of converged and hyperconverged infrastructures;

• Ensure the architectures comply with the client's technical standards and security requirements;

• Take part in technical workshops and steering committees.

Deployment and integration of infrastructures:

• Prepare and validate the technical environments required for deploying Kubernetes clusters;

• Install, configure and deploy the platforms in accordance with the defined architectures;

• Integrate orchestration solutions with existing infrastructures: virtualisation, storage, network, security, directories and monitoring;

• Take part in automating configurations and deployments using Ansible;

• Carry out integration, qualification and technical acceptance tests;

• Support go-lives and ensure the proper functioning of the deployed solutions.

Administration, operation and security:

• Ensure full administration of Kubernetes platforms and containerisation infrastructures;

• Ensure Operational Maintenance (MCO) and Security Maintenance (MCS);

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents;

• Optimise performance, availability and resource consumption;

• Ensure good security and compliance practices are applied;

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of operating procedures.

Management of version upgrades and technical developments:

• Carry out technology watch on Kubernetes and related solutions;

• Analyse the compatibility of new versions with existing infrastructures;

• Carry out validation tests: performance, stability, compatibility, redundancy and rollback;

• Prepare upgrade plans and migration procedures;

• Plan and support production update operations;

• Carry out post-migration checks and support the stabilisation of environments.

High availability, resilience and business continuity:

• Design, maintain and test Disaster Recovery Plan (PRA) solutions;

• Implement resilience and high availability mechanisms for the clusters;

• Ensure data consistency and synchronisation between main and backup infrastructures;

• Organise and take part in switchover and recovery exercises;

• Produce validation reports and analyse the results of PRA tests.

Monitoring, documentation and support:

• Set up and maintain proactive monitoring of Kubernetes infrastructures;

• Define and track performance indicators: CPU, memory, storage, latency, availability and cluster health;

• Anticipate risks of service degradation and propose corrective actions;

• Produce periodic monitoring and availability reports;

• Write and maintain Integration Test Plans (PTI), Operational Test Plans (PTE), acceptance test books, architecture files and operating procedures;

• Ensure knowledge transfer and support internal teams in the administration and operation of the platforms.

🎯 OUR REQUIREMENTS

Required skills and experience:

• Significant experience in architecture, administration and operation of Kubernetes platforms in an enterprise environment;

• In-depth expertise in containerisation and orchestration technologies;

• Mastery of Kubernetes, in particular the deployment, administration, configuration and operation of clusters;

• Concrete experience in designing and deploying orchestration infrastructures;

• Knowledge of architectures based on converged and hyperconverged infrastructures;

• Mastery of high availability, resilience, PRA, MCO and MCS issues;

• Experience in qualifying and carrying out Kubernetes version upgrades;

• Good understanding of container security mechanisms and orchestrated environments;

• Ability to integrate Kubernetes into complex technical ecosystems: virtualisation, storage, network, monitoring and security;

• Experience in carrying out integration, validation and technical acceptance tests;

• Ability to write PTI, PTE, acceptance test books, architecture files and operational technical documentation;

• Autonomy in analysing, diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems.

Technology environment:

• Containerisation and orchestration: Kubernetes, enterprise Kubernetes platforms, Podman;

• Automation: Ansible;

• Operating systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8, 9 and 10), Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025;

• Virtualisation and infrastructure: VMware ESX, Nutanix Prism;

• Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Outlook.

The following skills are real advantages:

• Advanced experience in infrastructure and operations automation with Ansible;

• Experience in administering Kubernetes platforms on VMware or Nutanix infrastructures;

• Good command of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments;

• Experience in implementing centralised monitoring and reporting solutions;

• Knowledge of storage, backup and disaster recovery architectures;

• Experience in securing containerisation infrastructures;

• Participation in transformation or modernisation projects for complex IT infrastructures.

Experience within a demanding industrial environment is a real advantage, particularly in the sectors of energy, nuclear, critical infrastructure, transport or heavy industry.

👤 PROFILE SOUGHT

With a Bac+3 to Bac+5 qualification in computing, systems, infrastructure, networks or an equivalent field, you can demonstrate significant senior-level experience in the architecture, deployment and operation of Kubernetes infrastructures.

You have genuine technical expertise and are able to work across the entire lifecycle of containerisation and orchestration platforms, from design through to operation in production.

You are autonomous, rigorous, methodical and have excellent analytical and synthesis skills. You know how to step back from technical issues and propose solutions suited to the constraints of availability, performance and security.

Comfortable in critical IT environments, you are able to work collaboratively with architects, infrastructure teams, systems administrators, security experts and technical managers.

Your ability to communicate clearly, document your work and pass on your knowledge to internal teams will be essential to succeed in this role.
