ABGi Technology is recruiting on behalf of its client, a large industrial group in the energy sector, for its future Expert Tooling / Supervision Specialist, based in Lyon.

🔎 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the maintenance in operational conditions and continuous improvement of its IT infrastructure, our client wishes to strengthen its teams with an experienced Expert in Tooling / Supervision.

You will work on technical supervision and interconnection platforms within a demanding industrial environment, where the availability, reliability and performance of information systems are major challenges.

Your role will be to ensure the administration, operation and evolution of supervision tools, to contribute to the continuity of service of the platforms and to support operations teams in resolving technical issues.

You will also take part in improving monitoring and observability systems, as well as in producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation.

The missions required of you:

• Administer, operate and maintain the various supervision platforms and solutions;

• Ensure the maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) of the supervision and interconnection platforms;

• Take part in the installation, configuration and evolution of supervision tools;

• Operate and improve monitoring solutions based notably on Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus and ELK;

• Take part in the configuration and optimisation of supervision dashboards;

• Set up and develop the mechanisms for collecting, centralising and visualising metrics and logs;

• Contribute to monitoring the availability, performance and proper functioning of infrastructure and applications;

• Analyse alerts and anomalies detected by the supervision tools;

• Take part in the diagnosis and resolution of technical incidents;

• Provide technical support to operations teams in the use and functioning of the tools;

• Take part in identifying the causes of recurring incidents and propose corrective actions;

• Contribute to improving the reliability, performance and availability of the platforms;

• Work on containerised environments using notably Docker and OpenShift;

• Take part in integrating and developing supervision tools within existing technical environments;

• Identify areas for optimising supervision tools and processes;

• Take part in automating and industrialising operational tasks where relevant;

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the platforms and operational practices;

• Produce and maintain clear, structured and usable technical documentation;

• Write procedures for installation, configuration, operation and troubleshooting;

• Formalise technical configurations and administration best practices;

• Capitalise on incidents encountered and lessons learned to make environments more reliable;

• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams and the various technical stakeholders concerned.

🎯 OUR REQUIREMENTS

Required skills and experience:

• Significant experience in the administration, operation or maintenance in operational conditions of supervision tools;

• Good command of Zabbix for supervising infrastructure and services;

• Knowledge of Grafana for visualising metrics and creating dashboards;

• Experience with Prometheus for collecting and using metrics;

• Knowledge of the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for centralising, analysing and visualising logs;

• Good understanding of containerised environments using Docker;

• Knowledge of the OpenShift platform;

• Understanding of monitoring, observability, availability and performance issues in systems;

• Experience in maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) and technical support;

• Ability to analyse incidents and identify the causes of malfunctions;

• Ability to produce high-quality technical deliverables and documentation;

• Ability to work with operations teams and various technical stakeholders;

• Autonomy, rigour, methodology and analytical skills.

The following skills are considered real advantages:

• Good knowledge of Linux environments and their administration;

• Experience in supervising complex or distributed infrastructure;

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability architectures;

• Mastery of metric collection, log management and alert generation mechanisms;

• Experience in configuring and optimising Grafana dashboards;

• Knowledge of Kubernetes environments and containerised architectures;

• Practice of automation scripts, notably in Bash or Python;

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and industrialisation processes;

• Experience in incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement;

• Good understanding of systems and network architectures and interconnection mechanisms;

• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and IT operations processes.

Experience in demanding industrial environments is a real advantage, particularly in the sectors of energy, critical infrastructure, transport or industry.

👤 PROFILE SOUGHT

With a Bac+2 to Bac+5 qualification (two- to five-year higher education degree) in computing, systems, networks, infrastructure or an equivalent field, you can demonstrate significant professional experience in supervision, observability, IT operations or maintenance in operational conditions.

You are comfortable working in complex technical environments and have a good understanding of how IT infrastructure operates and of the tools used to monitor it.

You are able to work on both technical aspects and support, diagnosis, continuous improvement and documentation activities.

Autonomous, rigorous and methodical, you enjoy analysing and resolving technical issues. You pay particular attention to the quality of the deliverables produced and the reliability of the solutions implemented.

Your ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams and the various technical stakeholders will be essential to succeed in this role.
