Head of Operations Technology

Things are moving fast at Liber right now. We are developing our ways of working, our platforms and our ability to use new technology in practice. We are now looking for a Head of Operations Technology who wants to take a central role in that work.

About the role

As Head of Operations Technology you will have broad responsibility for developing and future-proofing Liber's digital production environments, system support and technical ways of working. You become the link between operations, production, technology and development - with both strategic reach and operational impact.

You lead your own team of three people and drive initiatives across the whole company, in close collaboration with developers within the Infinitas group. You report to the COO and work in an environment where your priorities and direction have rapid impact.

In the role you will, among other things:

• lead and develop the Operations Technology area and your team

• drive technical development, efficiency and quality improvement within digital production

• be responsible for prioritisation, requirements specification and roadmap linked to our CMS platform Edify and related systems

• be a central requirements owner towards developers and central technology functions

• contribute to transformation, migration and development projects

• drive and coordinate AI initiatives in the organisation and ensure they translate into concrete benefit

AI is a core requirement of the role

For us, AI is not a side track. We have already come a long way in our work and clearly see the potential the area holds for our internal processes, production flows and content-related ways of working. Now we want to take the next step - broaden usage, increase pace and work more systematically.

That is why we are looking for someone with documented professional experience of using and implementing AI in operational contexts. You are at home with several established tools and platforms - for example ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot - and you understand both their strengths, limitations and how they are best integrated into a professional environment.

Equally important is that you have gone from idea to use: identified value, run a pilot, established ways of working and driven adoption. With us this will involve internal processes, content processing, quality assurance, automation and production support - not customer-facing communication.

We believe you have

• senior experience from technology-focused roles in business-critical environments

• experience of digital production, production flows or content-related system environments

• experience of requirements specification towards development and central technology functions

• experience of change management and cross-functional work

• practical experience of AI and generative AI in professional contexts

• a good ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions

It is an advantage if you have experience from educational publishing, media, content operations or other content-driven business, or if you have worked with CMS, DAM, metadata or publishing-related systems.

You combine strategic reach with operational delivery power. You are comfortable with complexity, clear in your communication and good at building trust - both in leadership contexts and in technical discussions. You are curious about new technology, but always focused on real benefit.
