Senior Network Specialist for assignment in the defence and security sector

At IT-Total we are now looking for several Senior Network Specialists (Level 3-4) for one of Sweden's most critical assignments in the defence and security sector. Here, "standard solutions" are not enough - we build extremely secure and robust networks where every traffic flow is carefully calculated and every link is redundant.

The role: The brains behind the flow

As a Senior Network Specialist in this team, you are the one who turns blueprints into reality. You are responsible for building and operating the actual infrastructure that forms the foundation for secure communication.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Infrastructure build: You configure and deploy protected networks, VPN solutions and advanced segmentation.

• Security technology: You implement and fine-tune firewalls and manage complex traffic flows between different security zones.

• Resilience: You ensure the highest possible availability through well-considered redundancy and troubleshooting in complex environments.

Collaboration that makes a difference

You become part of a tight expert team where your technical expertise is decisive for the whole:

• You realise the vision that the Architect has developed in the target architecture.

• You are the one who practically implements the strict logging and protection requirements that our Cyber Security Specialist defines.

• You are an important link to the Project Manager, where you deliver status updates, identify technical dependencies and flag any risks in the execution.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are confident in your technical competence and who thrive in environments where accuracy and security awareness are the highest priority. We would also like you to have specialist knowledge of leading platforms and supporting frameworks:

• Network & Security: CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE or Check Point certifications.

• Methodology: ITIL.

Requirements for the position (Security sector)

As you will be working with infrastructure that is critical to national security, the following applies:

• Employment with IT-Total: For this assignment we can only offer employment with IT-Total. We are unable to work with subcontractors or self-employed consultants (AB) on this specific project.

• Security clearance: Swedish citizenship and an approved security clearance with register check is a requirement.
