We are looking for a railway construction manager for Trafikverket for projects in the Central region.

This is a consultancy assignment with a base in Borlänge.

The position covers 60-100%.

The assignment involves close cooperation with the client, which places great demands on flexibility and collaborative ability.

The assignment

As a railway construction manager, you will support Trafikverket's project organisation in railway projects within the Central region.

The assignment covers work in the various phases of the projects, from design to production, with particular focus on construction management, coordination and follow-up. You will work closely with project managers and other project resources to ensure that the projects are carried out in accordance with established requirements and objectives regarding time, cost, quality, safety, working environment and environment.

You may also be asked to support neighbouring projects and contribute technical advice and knowledge transfer within the organisation.

Duties

Assist project managers with planning, implementation, coordination and follow-up of railway projects.

Follow up project time, cost, quality, safety, working environment and environment.

Prepare and follow up schedules, estimates and budgets in accordance with established routines.

Coordinate and take part in construction meetings, economic meetings, technical meetings and design meetings.

Ensure that designers and contractors comply with applicable standards, installation requirements and regulations.

Assist the project management with technical advice and production-oriented construction management.

Contribute to knowledge transfer and support other projects within Trafikverket's Central region as needed.

Requirements (note, mandatory)

Be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Experience of working in project groups where coordination has been important.

Driving licence category B.

At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, project manager, site chief or equivalent in construction and civil engineering projects within the technical areas of railway, ground and civil engineering. The experience must be no older than 10 years.

Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and regulations within the relevant technical area.

Completed BASÄSKYDD training.

At least 5 years of work experience as a construction manager or in an equivalent supervisory role within the relevant technical area, from construction and civil engineering projects with a total turnover of at least 70 MSEK, within the last 10 years.

At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in an equivalent supervisory role within the relevant technical area, with work covering BEST (track, electricity, signalling and telecom) and assignments relating to the design and construction process, within the last 10 years.
