About the role
Your mission
Your mission is to own process engineering across our key development projects - from our First-of-a-Kind facility to the next stages of scale-up. You'll ensure that process design decisions are well-founded, consistently documented, and aligned across teams, while keeping a clear line of sight from today's engineering work to tomorrow's commercial plant.- Own and drive process engineering across all active development projects
- Lead process safety, HAZOP, and regulatory compliance
- Manage engineering change and design documentation across the project lifecycle
Your profile
Skills & Experience- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of process engineering experience, with a strong track record of leading or coordinating engineering work across multiple projects
- Proven experience managing engineering change - from design updates and deviation handling to formal change control processes
- Solid background in process safety, including HAZOP facilitation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
- Strong command of process engineering documentation standards: PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs, valve and pipe sizing, and safety reviews
- Experience working with simulation teams or external technical partners to align models with design requirements
- Familiarity with novel or first-of-a-kind process development environments is a strong plus
- Thinks in systems and owns outcomes - not just tasks
- Fast learner who quickly grasps complex topics and stays curious about the problem, not just the solution
- Combines scientific rigour with pragmatic, hands-on, build-and-learn instincts
- Authentic, reflective, and self-organised - brings structure without losing speed
- Comfortable with ambiguity and effective at working across cross-functional teams
- Clear and direct communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong active listening skills
- Valid Work Permit for Germany, or able to obtain a permit
- Location: Exiting industrial Co-Working Space in Marzahn where we have our own industrial halls to build
Benefits
- Unique experience contributing to a first-of-a-kind climate-tech project (tFOAK).
- A steep learning curve, exposure to cross-functional challenges, and the ability to shape a project from the ground up.
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment where your decisions have a real impact.
- Competitive compensation and personal growth opportunities.
- Employee stock options
- Learning and development Budget
- Regular team events
- Subsidized BVG ticket
- Laptop and your individual work set up
