SRE Kubernetes (100% Remote)

At Logicalis Spain we want to add a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specialised in Kubernetes to join our Managed Services team, taking part in the operation, evolution and automation of container platforms and CI/CD ecosystems that support critical enterprise environments.

We are looking for a profile with solid technical experience in Kubernetes platforms and automation, who will work in hybrid environments, both on-premise and cloud, ensuring the availability, performance, security and stability of the platforms and driving continuous improvement and the adoption of good automation and operations practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administration, operation and evolution of container platforms based on Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS and/or EKS, applying GitOps methodologies

• Maintenance and optimisation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD or equivalent tools

• Management of deployments, upgrades, configurations, migrations, backups and maintenance activities of the platforms

• Advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex incidents in distributed and highly available environments

• Monitoring the health, capacity, performance and availability of production environments, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement

• Participation in defining and implementing standards for operation, observability, security and automation

• Automation of operational tasks, deployments and infrastructure using Ansible and Helm

• Development of scripts and automation utilities using Python and Shell Script

• Collaboration with Development, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture and Operations teams

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Kubernetes SRE, preferably in managed services and multi-client environments

• Solid experience in administering and operating Kubernetes and/or OpenShift platforms in production environments

• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD processes and practical experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD or similar tools

• Experience working with GitOps methodologies

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents in distributed, containerised and microservices architectures

• Experience in automating Day 2 operations and managing infrastructure as code

• Proficiency in Ansible and Helm

• Experience developing automations using Python and/or Shell Script

• Solid knowledge of Git and continuous integration and deployment practices

• Experience working in hybrid, cloud and on-premise environments

• Organisational, communication and collaborative working skills with multidisciplinary teams

DESIRABLE

• Experience administering cloud environments on AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

• Knowledge of observability and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager or OpenTelemetry

• Experience with logging and analysis platforms such as Elastic Stack

• Knowledge of security applied to Kubernetes and containers, including hardening, RBAC, security policies, secrets management and vulnerability scanning

• Experience with backup and recovery solutions for Kubernetes environments

• Certifications related to Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud or DevOps such as CKA, CKAD, RHCSA, RHCE, AWS or Azure

• Experience with automation orchestration platforms such as Rundeck, AWX or Ansible Automation Platform
