We are looking for a Construction Manager for road and maintenance surfacing at Trafikverket.

This is a consultancy assignment. Posting location is Kristianstad.

The assignment comprises approximately 75-80% of a full-time position.

The assignment involves close cooperation with the client, which places great demands on flexibility and ability to collaborate.

The assignment

Trafikverket is looking for a Construction Manager for construction management, design and quality follow-up of maintenance surfacing on the state road network in Skåne County. The assignment mainly covers the operational areas of Österlen, Söderslätt and Eslöv, but work may also occur in other parts of Region Södra.

The work covers surfacing measures on both heavily and lightly trafficked roads, including hot, warm and tank surfacing as well as reinforcement work. The consultant shall support the project manager throughout the process, from inventory and design to execution, quality control and final inspection.

The work is largely carried out in the field and involves ongoing collaboration with contractors and project management. Irregular working hours as well as evening and night work occur during the surfacing season.

Duties

Be responsible for construction management and follow-up of surfacing contracts regarding quality, schedule, work environment and safety.

Carry out inventories, condition assessments and design of maintenance surfacing.

Prepare technical descriptions, bills of quantities and other documentation ahead of procurements.

Take part in kick-off meetings, construction meetings and site visits, and coordinate work with contractors and project managers.

Handle and follow up ÄTA works, financial documentation and the progress of the contract.

Carry out checks, measurements and inspections, and review contractors' final reporting.

Document and report completed work, deviations and measures in Trafikverket's systems.

Requirements (mandatory)

You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

You must have experience and routine in working with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

You must hold a valid driving licence with at least category B (passenger car).

You must have a good knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and rules within the relevant area.

You must have experience of independently carrying out inventories and condition assessments in the field resulting in improvement proposals and preparation of bills of quantities according to AMA Anläggning, for at least one completed procurement of maintenance surfacing with hot mix over SEK 10 million within the last five years.

You must have at least 5 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role within surfacing or maintenance surfacing. The experience must not be older than 10 years.

You must have carried out at least 3 comparable assignments as a construction manager or in a supervisory role within surfacing or maintenance surfacing, where each surfacing contract included hot mix over SEK 15 million of the contract value. At least one of the assignments must have included objects on heavily trafficked road networks, for example motorways or 2+1 roads. (At least 3 assignments, of which at least 1 on a heavily trafficked road network.)

Desirable 

You should have completed occupational health and safety training for Bas-P/U according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's guidelines.

You should hold certification level 3 according to TDOK 2018:0371, APV Kompetens i upphandlad verksamhet - Entreprenad och Projekteringstjänster.

You should have completed the following courses at Asfaltskolan or equivalent training: Asfaltbeläggningar - Allmän kurs, Tankbeläggningar - Allmän kurs and Förebyggande och avhjälpande beläggningsunderhåll.
