LR Technologies is recruiting on a permanent contract a Software Development Manager - Embedded Software in Versailles (78), to work with a major player in the land defence sector. You lead cross-functional software development across 3 defence projects and act as the link between the development teams, the architects and project management.

Your responsibilities

• Manage software development in Agile/Scrum: backlog management, sprint planning and tracking.

• Monitor progress and provide reporting to project management.

• Coordinate the development teams and software architects: technical trade-offs, priorities, dependencies.

• Prepare and run software milestone reviews (specification, validation, qualification).

• Ensure the associated documentation follow-up.

• Monitor workloads, costs and resources in a multi-project environment.

• Identify risks and propose action plans.

• Coordinate regularly with the teams based in Bourges.

Your profile

• Qualification: Master's degree (Bac+5, engineering school or Master) in computer science, embedded systems or electronics.

• Experience: a minimum of 8 years in embedded software, with a technical background (development, architecture or integration) and at least 3 years of management, as software work package leader, software project manager or Software Project Leader.

• Skills: solid understanding of embedded software and the V-cycle, Agile/Scrum methods, backlog management (JIRA or equivalent), monitoring of costs, deadlines and workloads, preparation of milestone reviews and documentation management.

• Desirable: experience in defence, aeronautics or complex embedded systems; knowledge of critical software development standards; multi-project management.

• French nationality required: the position is subject to defence security clearance.

• Soft skills: leadership, communication skills, decision-making capacity, organisation, diplomacy and a talent for synthesis.
