Lead Consultant Sustainability Data & Software
Intire
Required skills
About the role
Translated into English from Dutch by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
Sustainability has long been about more than just reporting. Organisations want reliable ESG data, smart software and processes they can steer by and that accountants can rely on. That is where Intire comes in.
We help organisations design, implement and improve ESG data, software and reporting processes. From Power BI dashboards and ESG data models to complete sustainability software implementations.
For the next growth phase of our Data & Software services, we are looking for a Lead Consultant who combines technical depth with advisory skills, project leadership and entrepreneurship. You lead complex implementations, determine the solution direction together with clients and safeguard quality. At the same time, you coach colleagues and help build our services, client relationships and partnerships.
Who are we?
Intire is a specialised ESG boutique consultancy. We help organisations make sustainability workable with reliable data, smart software and well-organised processes. In doing so, we combine ESG knowledge with expertise in data, software and technology.
Our clients are leading organisations in retail, agrifood, industry and construction. You will join a close-knit and ambitious team of 11 colleagues, with short lines and plenty of room to set your own direction.
What will you do?
You lead complex ESG data and software projects where data, technology and business come together. You are a senior point of contact for the client and substantively responsible for the project: from clarifying requirements and designing solutions to implementation, adoption and handover.
Depending on the project, you will be involved in, among other things:
developing ESG data and software roadmaps and translating them into a feasible approach;
leading software selections and implementations of sustainability management and reporting software;
translating ESG and carbon issues into data platforms, data integrations and dashboards;
advising on and designing audit-ready ESG and carbon processes, governance and data flows;
setting up and improving functional management, data collection and user processes around ESG software;
connecting sustainability managers, controllers, IT teams, software vendors and CFOs and guiding joint decision-making;
coaching colleagues and acting as substantive point of contact for clients and the team;
developing our services and propositions and representing Intire at clients, training courses and events.
You don't have to build everything yourself. You know when to get into the detail yourself, when to critically assess work and when to give others room to reach a good solution.
Who are we looking for?
You oversee complex issues, bring structure and dare to choose a direction. You switch easily between board level, sustainability specialists and IT teams and bring colleagues and clients along in a joint approach. You understand that successful implementations are not only about software, but above all about processes, people and data. You are substantively strong, entrepreneurial and enjoy helping build our Data & Software services. In addition, you have:
extensive relevant work experience, preferably seven years or more, within software consultancy, data engineering, business intelligence or ESG implementations;
demonstrable experience leading software implementations;
experience with data integrations, data architecture and designing scalable solutions;
a solid technical foundation in Power BI, SQL and data modelling;
the ability to translate complex client questions into clear choices, designs and working solutions;
commercial insight and the motivation to help build propositions and client relationships;
excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
It is a bonus if you also have experience with:
Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Azure or Fabric;
Python, APIs and ETL processes;
Carbon accounting or the motivation to develop further in this area.
Experience with sustainability software, ESG data or ESG reporting processes is a strong plus, but not a hard requirement. If you are technically and advisory strong, we will help you quickly build up your substantive ESG knowledge.
Why Intire
Intire has a clear ambition: to become THE implementation partner for ESG data, software and reporting. In this role you will not be given a fenced-in playing field. You will genuinely have influence on our technical choices, standards, partnerships and services.
You combine client work with building the organisation. You work closely with our partners and consultants, coach colleagues and help decide where we do and do not deploy. Lines are short, decisions are made quickly and good ideas can be applied immediately.
At the same time, you stay close to practice. You see how solutions land at clients, where processes get stuck and what is needed to make ESG data reliable and workable. It is precisely this combination of substance, technology, clients and entrepreneurship that makes this role special.
Wesley Schulte (Partner/Founder):
“Intire is a close-knit group of people, but our way of working is very free. We thrive on not too many frameworks, arranging things yourself, but also being there for each other. We are looking for an experienced colleague, someone who brings something extra as lead consultant and expert. But certainly also someone who plays a major role as a colleague, who is outgoing, takes action, and wants to grow broadly with us. For that, Intire offers unique opportunities!”
What can you expect from us?
a gross monthly salary commensurate with the weight of your role, depending on your knowledge and experience;
8% holiday pay and a variable team bonus;
30 holiday days (based on 40 hours);
a laptop and mobile phone for your work;
a personal training budget of € 2,500 per year;
substantively challenging projects at appealing organisations;
a lot of influence on the further development of our Data & Software services;
hybrid working with a good balance between at the client, in the office and at home;
OV-businesscard for train travel, a car-sharing subscription and a mileage allowance when you travel by your own car;
shared lunches at the office;
four team days per year, combining substantive development and team building;
regular team activities and drinks.
