SAP Application Architect (Paris, Lille or Lyon)
delaware France
Required skills
About the role
Translated into English from French by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
You have been developing for several years in ABAP, Fiori/UI5 or on SAP BTP. You are already the technical reference on your projects: you carry out code reviews, you coach developers, you make the technical decisions. You now want to gain height: design the solution rather than only build it, and defend your choices to the client from the pre-sales stage.
This role is made for you. You do not leave the technical side, you take its lead. At delaware, the SAP Application Architect is a lead developer who broadens their scope, along three axes:
Technical leadership: you carry the technical vision of the project and support the development teams, both locally and in our service centre (GDC).
Architecture: you design SAP landscapes, integrations and the associated platforms, notably SAP BTP.
Pre-sales (AVV): you assess feasibility, you estimate costs, you write the technical sections of tenders and you defend them in presentations.
SAP Platinum Partner since 2023, more than 75 S/4HANA migration projects delivered worldwide, with the ambition of exceeding 100.
Pioneers: first to deploy S/4HANA Public Cloud in France (2018), early adopters of RISE with SAP in Europe (2021).
Winners of the SAP Pinnacle Awards 2024 & 2025 for the Business Technology Platform (BTP): a real playground for technical profiles.
Major corporate clients in industry, retail, food processing, automotive, luxury, aerospace, life sciencesā¦
You join the Dev&Ops delivery hub, on the technical ERP building block, that is to say the team that carries technical development and integration. You are the technical reference of the hub. You get involved upstream (scoping, design), then support your teams during implementation and deployment.

Present architectures to CIOs, document decisions and take part in technical and steering committees, together with the functional architect
Monitor the market, capitalise on best practices and evolve the hub's standards
Your background
Bac+5 (engineering school or master's degree in computer science / information systems)
At least 7 to 10 years in an SAP environment, ideally with a path from ABAP / Fiori developer to lead developer or technical reference, and some first exposure to architecture topics
Experience of end-to-end implementation projects, preferably S/4HANA, ideally internationally or in multi-system contexts
Experience in an IT services company (ESN), a consultancy or with an end client, in a complex environment

Ability to synthesise, comfort speaking in public, resilience in critical phases
Fluent French and professional English (B2+/C1)
A plus: SAP S/4HANA Technology certifications, SAP Enterprise Architect (P_SAPEA), SAP LeanIX (C_LIXEA) or TOGAF. This is not a prerequisite: if you have the right lead developer background, apply!
