Whether we are developing award-winning games or engineering engine technology that enables others to create visually stunning interactive experiences, we are constantly innovating. Joining Epic means joining a team that strives continuously to do what is right for its community and its users. We are always pushing the boundaries of engine and game development.
What we do
Whether it means developing a vision from start to finish or collaborating with teams to inspire and deliver projects that meet Epic's quality standards, the company's production teams take pride in consistently delivering world-class products and experiences.
What you will do
Help us take Fortnite Battle Royale to the next level. As Senior Art Producer within the Fortnite production team, you will collaborate with art directors, artists and designers to deliver fun, high-quality live-service content, from concept to delivery. We are looking for someone who is rigorously organised, able to communicate clearly across disciplines and who thrives managing schedules for several complex visual projects. You must be passionate about video games and technology, and have a strong track record in production within artistic teams.
What you will be responsible for
- Collaborating with art discipline leads to define the scope of work and plan team tasks, while establishing and maintaining dependency-based schedules for graphic elements to ensure content is delivered on time to Epic's quality criteria
- Ensuring constant communication within the art production team and with other departments to provide complete clarity on resource status, risks and opportunities, while giving partners excellent visibility into development
- Proactively identifying issues and proposing solutions before they become blockers, closely tracking deliverables, technical initiatives and overall project needs, and showing initiative in resolving challenges creatively and methodically
- Managing multiple large-scale production needs within the department or within small response teams, setting and breaking down priorities, and maintaining effective communication through various channels (email, Slack, meetings, roadmaps)
- Organising team meetings, leading daily art reviews and in-game content reviews, while providing concrete notes and rigorous follow-up to participants
- Mentoring more junior art producers and supporting their professional growth
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in video game development, ideally on a live-service game
- Successful experience in a production role where you have led art teams in creating and delivering high-quality visual content
- Experience supporting more technical art disciplines (technical art, lighting, visual effects) is an asset
- Strong understanding of dependency-driven production processes, planning, resource tracking and project management best practices
- Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail
- Experience in a demanding environment and excellent day-to-day problem-solving skills, approaching every challenge as an opportunity to succeed
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, within the team and across the company
- Ability to manage fast-paced, critical development cycles while balancing immediate needs with long-term vision
- Mastery of Jira, Confluence and Shotgrid/Flow tools
