Social Specialist Medior/Senior
Olifant Media
Required skills
About the role
Translated into English from Dutch by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
You know how to run a successful campaign. But do you also see how it could be smarter, better or completely different?
At Olifant Media we are looking for a senior Social Advertising Specialist who looks beyond the results in Ads Manager.
Someone who understands why a campaign works, but above all sees where opportunities are being missed. Who not only tells clients what the figures mean, but also dares to challenge them. And who doesn't just follow new developments, such as AI, but above all experiments with them personally.
You will work for organisations in healthcare and education. From campaigns to reach nurses to raising awareness of training courses. Not campaigns to sell more, but work where the result genuinely contributes to something.
Does this sound like your next step? Then we would be happy to get to know you.

What will you do?
You will take responsibility for your own clients and campaigns. You determine the strategy, adjust where necessary and continually look for ways to improve.
But we expect more from you than just good campaign results.
You look beyond the ad. You don't automatically solve an underperforming campaign with a new target group or a different ad. You look at the full customer journey and investigate where opportunities lie.
You are the specialist at the table. You not only discuss results with clients, but also advise on the next step. Sometimes this means convincing a client to approach things completely differently.
You know the possibilities of Social Ads. From Meta and LinkedIn to TikTok and Snapchat. You know which channels suit the target group and objective, and how to use them smartly.
You make data both understandable and useful. You translate results from advertising platforms and Looker Studio into insights that clients and colleagues can actually use.
You help us innovate. Which tasks could be done more smartly with AI? Which new advertising possibilities should we test? You get the space to explore ideas and put them into practice.
You share what you know. With colleagues, clients or during a training or presentation. Not because you need to have the answer to everything, but because we want to get better together.
What do you bring?
We are looking for someone who knows the trade well and does not need confirmation for every decision.
You have several years of experience in Social Advertising and have independently managed campaigns for different clients or objectives.
You can not only optimise campaigns, but also explain why you make certain strategic choices.
You are analytically strong and look further when figures do not tell the full story.
You dare to be critical. Including when a client or colleague has a different direction in mind.
You follow developments in advertising and AI and enjoy trying out new possibilities yourself.
You can work independently, but also enjoy bouncing ideas off colleagues and sharing knowledge.
You speak and write good Dutch.
You don't need to know everything yet. More important to us is that you see opportunities yourself, take initiative and have the ambition to develop yourself and our agency further.
What do we offer you?
A lot of influence, both at account level and personally.
Olifant Media is a specialised online marketing agency with a team of around fourteen colleagues. Big enough to learn from each other, small enough to genuinely influence how we work.
You can expect:
Space for your ideas. Do you see a better way to approach campaigns or to organise processes more smartly? Then you get the space to get started on it.
Responsibility for your own clients. You get trust and freedom to make your own choices. Of course your colleagues are ready to think along with you.
Work that challenges you substantively. You work for different organisations in healthcare and education, with varied target groups and marketing issues. Your choices make a difference on the client's shop floor.
Time for development. Together we create a personal development plan and discuss monthly where you want to go, what is going well and where you could use support.
Flexible working. You work 24 to 40 hours per week and can alternate between our office in Leiden and home.
A salary of € 3,000 to € 5,500 gross per month, depending on your experience and based on a full-time employment contract.
Keen to help build something?
We are not looking for a specialist who simply carries out what we have been doing for years.
We are looking for someone who brings new ideas, thinks critically and helps us keep getting better.
Do you think you are that person? Then we would love to get to know you.
