We are looking for a construction manager in road maintenance for Trafikverket.

This is a consultancy assignment. The place of posting is Södermanland County. Trafikverket provides a workplace at one of its offices in the region, and the consultant may choose which of these offices is used as the place of posting.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close cooperation with the client, which places great demands on flexibility and collaborative ability.

The assignment

The assignment covers construction management within the basic contracts in Södermanland County. Within each area, the contractor is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of roads, verges and rest areas, and for ensuring that, among other things, road signs, guardrails, edge posts and wildlife fencing function. The consultant acts as construction manager on behalf of Trafikverket with regard to production.

The construction manager leads and coordinates the assigned area/contract together with the contractor, project engineer and maintenance engineer under the direction of the project manager. The role is Trafikverket's representative on the construction site and acts as technical support to project management.

Duties

Lead and coordinate the assigned area/contract.

Check that the contract is planned, quality-assured and carried out in accordance with the contract and the established plans.

Ensure implementation within budget and in accordance with official decisions, agreements, permits and arrangements.

Carry out site follow-up in accordance with the control programme.

Compile follow-ups and forecasts.

Maintain and deliver reporting documentation.

Be Trafikverket's representative on the construction site.

Support project management in following up contract work with regard to economy, time, quality and environment.

Together with the project manager, follow up and develop contracts and processes.

Communicate with affected clients and consult with other authorities.

Call off smaller works from the operations contractor.

Requirements (NB, mandatory)

Be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Experience of working in project groups where coordination has been important.

Category B driving licence.

At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role, for example production manager, site manager, site chief or equivalent, within the relevant technical area.

The experience must relate to projects with over SEK 20 million in turnover per year. The experience must not be older than 10 years.

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, standards and directives.

APV competence according to TRVK Apv TDOK 2012:86, at least level 2.

Competence and experience in directing and leading winter road maintenance.

Completed training to act as the client's BAS-P and BAS-U.

Relevant education or work experience for working in Trafikverket's systems GDP-analys, Spva, PP and MIP.
