About the role
We are now looking for a committed and development-oriented Deputy Principal who is passionate about learning, pedagogy and pupils' wellbeing. Together with the school's leadership you will help drive the school's continued development with a focus on high levels of goal attainment, an accessible learning environment and strong pupil health care.

As Deputy Principal you have a central role in the school's leadership organisation and are responsible for leading, coordinating and developing the work within pupil health care, follow-up of pupils' results, and the school's organisational and pedagogical development.

Your main areas of responsibility

• Lead and develop the school's pupil health care work in close collaboration with the pupil health team.

• Follow up, analyse and drive work on pupils' academic results and goal attainment.

• Ensure that the school's support measures are appropriate and contribute to increased goal attainment.

• Drive and lead systematic quality work within your area of responsibility.

• Contribute to the school's organisational and pedagogical development based on operational needs and national governing documents.

• Be a close source of support for staff on matters concerning teaching, inclusion, learning environment and pupil health care.

• Be responsible for and handle complex pupil cases and coordinate measures for pupils in need of special support.

• Be the school's contact person for pupil and guardian matters and build and maintain good relationships with pupils and guardians.

• Take part in meetings with guardians and external partners when operational needs require it.

• Actively take part in the school's management group and, together with the Principal, develop operations towards set goals.

You are a clear and relationship-building leader with a strong commitment to pupils' learning, development and health. You have the ability to analyse results, lead change work and turn operational goals into concrete development in everyday practice. Through trust-based leadership you build good relationships with pupils, guardians and staff and contribute to a safe and developing school environment for everyone.

It is considered a merit if you have special education competence or experience of leading and developing pupil health care work. Experience of systematic quality work, analysis of pupils' goal attainment and coordination of support measures for pupils in need of support are also considered meritorious.

Qualifications:

• Relevant university education

• Principal training is considered a merit

• Experience of school leadership, preferably from independent schools, is an advantage
