Head of AML till Allica Bank

About the role
As Head of AML you will have overall responsibility for building up and developing the Swedish AML function. The role is both strategic and operational, which means you will set the direction for the function's work while also taking part in day-to-day AML work during the start-up phase.

You will play a central role in ensuring that the business complies with Swedish and European regulations on money laundering and terrorist financing, and in helping to create a robust and sustainable control environment from day one.

The role reports to the bank's CPOO and involves close collaboration with Compliance, Risk, Legal and other parts of the business.

Your areas of responsibility

• Build up and establish the Swedish AML function, including its organisation, processes and ways of working.

• Lead and develop the function as the business grows.

• Be responsible for the function's strategic direction in line with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain governing documents, guidelines and processes related to AML/CTF.

• Ensure effective processes for customer due diligence, risk classification, transaction monitoring and investigation of suspicious activities.

• Be responsible for reporting to relevant authorities and ensure that reporting takes place correctly and within set time frames.

• Take an operational part in investigations and case handling when the business requires it.

• Support and develop future colleagues within the function.

• Act as an advisory partner in business and product development matters from an AML perspective.

We are looking for you who

• Have solid experience of AML/CTF work within a bank or other financial operation.

• Have worked in a leading role or have experience of driving and developing AML work.

• Have experience of building up functions, processes or frameworks from the ground up.

• Have good knowledge of Swedish and European AML legislation and regulatory requirements.

• Have experience of contact with supervisory authorities.

• Are used to working both strategically and operationally.

• Communicate fluently in English. Knowledge of Swedish is a strong advantage.
