We are looking for a production expert and site manager in railway for Trafikverket.

This is a consultancy assignment. Posting location is Gävle.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and ability to cooperate.

The assignment

The assignment concerns the role of production expert and site manager in Trafikverket's railway project Bollnäs växelbyte. The project comprises replacement of 16 existing switches with 17 new ones and approximately 2,500 track metres. Signalling systems, electrical power, ground installations and cables will also be adapted.

The consultant works as production expert during the design phase and as site manager during the construction phase. The assignment involves supporting project management with a focus on constructability, feasibility, production planning and follow-up of designers and contractors.

Design is ongoing during 2026 and production is planned for 2027-2028.

Responsibilities

Support project management in following up designers on time, cost and quality.

Take part in the design process and the preparation of tender documents with a focus on constructability and feasibility.

Take part in contract planning and assess production feasibility.

Follow up contractors' work on time, cost and quality.

Coordinate follow-up with site monitors in other technical areas.

Develop control programmes for following up contractors.

Take part in internal and external project meetings and carry out site visits.

Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)

Experience of AB 04 and AMA. The experience may be no more than five (5) years old.

At least ten (10) years of work experience as project manager or sub-project manager on railway projects in the role of client or client representative.

At least five (5) years of work experience as site monitor, site manager or foreman on railway projects.

Hold a valid Swedish driving licence for passenger cars.

Be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Knowledge of laws, regulations, standards and directives within the relevant subject area.

Valid training in BASÄSKYDD.

(The stated years of experience refer to an employment level of at least 50% during the respective period.)
