At Things I Like Things I Love we are looking for a senior Head of Warehouse & Logistics who will take our entire warehouse operation to the next level. Someone who not only understands how things run today, but above all how they must (and will) run tomorrow and in the future.

This is a key role within our organisation. You are responsible for future-proofing our logistics operation in a scale-up phase with strong growth ambitions. You think ahead, spot bottlenecks before they arise and translate this into smart choices in processes, layout and investments.

Alongside being hands-on, you are also a strategic linchpin who strengthens team leads and operations, provides direction and advises the management board.

You are building a logistics retail operation that is ready for serious growth, and you have direct influence over strategic choices, investments and the cost structure. Not management, but building: you set the lines and make it scalable. You work in an ambitious environment with pace, short lines and a lot of ownership, and you liaise directly with the management board and core teams. Your impact is visible, every day.

What will you do?

• You are ultimately responsible for the entire warehouse and logistics operation (supplying and replenishing our physical stores);

• You develop and implement the logistics strategy focused on scalability and growth;

• You analyse processes and initiate structural improvements in efficiency, capacity and output;

• You identify and realise cost savings without compromising on quality and speed;

• You advise the management board on investments (including systems, automation, layout, equipment);

• You make the operation future-proof: from layout to tooling and ways of working;

• You translate growth expectations into concrete plans (capacity, staffing, planning);

• You ensure that peaks (sales, campaigns, seasons) are predictable and manageable;

• You work closely with e-commerce, purchasing and retail to align the supply chain optimally;

• You negotiate with external stakeholders and suppliers on rates, service levels and partnerships;

• You coach and steer team leads on performance, structure and development;

• You are visible on the floor when needed and understand what is happening operationally.

What does success look like (KPIs)?

• Cost per order structurally reduced, while maintaining quality;

• Pick & pack productivity (output per FTE) demonstrably increases;

• Error rates (picking/returns) remain minimal;

• Stock reliability and availability in order;

• Capacity and utilisation align seamlessly with peaks and growth;

• Lead times in the warehouse are short and predictable;

• We supply stores more smartly and efficiently;

• Smart investments deliver measurable ROI.

What do you bring?

• You have extensive experience in senior logistics roles (strong preference for retail/e-commerce);

• You have a commercial mindset and understand the impact of logistics on customer experience;

• You have demonstrably scaled up or professionalised a warehouse;

• You are strategically strong, but never lose sight of the operation;

• You think ahead and act proactively;

• You are analytical, make data-driven choices and know how to translate these into action;

• You are a robust discussion partner for the management board and MT;

• You know how to steer team leads without micromanagement;

• You have experience with investment questions as well as cost optimisation;

• You have experience negotiating with suppliers and partners;

• You are resilient under stress and maintain overview in a dynamic environment;

• You speak fluent Dutch and very good English, due to a fully international warehouse team.
