Codemill is looking for a business-driven CFO who wants to work closely with the CEO and the board, develop financial management and turn analyses into decisions that make a difference for results and the business.

Your new role

As CFO you report to the CEO. Together you form the group management and are also part of the internal management team. You are an important strategic partner to the CEO and the board and actively contribute to the company's long-term business strategy, with a particular focus on growth and profitability. At the same time, you are close to the operations and enjoy moving between overarching business discussions and operational matters where you need to get into the details yourself.

You have overall responsibility for the company's financial management and financial reporting. This includes, among other things, budgeting, forecasts, follow-up, group accounting, liquidity planning and reporting in accordance with the requirements that apply to a company listed on Nasdaq First North. You ensure that reporting is of high quality and delivered on time, while also being responsible for regulatory compliance and well-functioning internal control processes. The assignment also includes contact with external auditors and authorities, as well as developing and streamlining the company's accounting system and ways of working.

An important part of the role is using financial analysis to develop the business. You follow up costs and results, challenge and support the operational managers in financial matters, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. You provide decision support on investments and product development and analyse the profitability of customer projects. Together with the CEO you also work with investor relations and financial communication and prepare materials for board meetings.

You lead and develop the finance function with personnel responsibility for an accountant in Umeå and manage finance consultants in the UK and USA. You contribute to efficient processes and good financial management throughout the organisation. With your analytical ability and business perspective, you help the organisation understand what drives results and how the company's resources can be used in the best way.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have solid experience from a senior role in finance and are confident in qualified financial reporting, financial management and analysis. You have a good understanding of Swedish accounting principles, group accounting and tax rules. Experience of financial reporting and regulatory compliance in a listed environment is of course meritorious, as is knowledge of the requirements that come with a listing on Nasdaq First North, but it is not a requirement. If you have experience from software companies or fast-growing tech operations, this is also meritorious.

You have an academic education in economics, finance or accounting, or equivalent competence through experience. You are used to working with budgets, forecasts and financial follow-up and have the ability to turn figures into insights and concrete improvements. You also have experience of leading and developing a finance function and thrive in close collaboration with the various parts of the operation.

As a person you are business-oriented, analytical and unpretentious. You have integrity, work in a structured way and are curious about the operations behind the figures. You dare to challenge and ask questions, while being a responsive collaborative partner who builds trust in the organisation. You communicate financial information clearly and transparently and feel confident in dialogue with the CEO, board, investors and employees.

Furthermore, you speak and write fluently in Swedish and English, where English is Codemill's group language.

To thrive in the role, you need to be based in Umeå and want to work the majority of your working time from Codemill's great office.
