LR Technologies is recruiting on a permanent contract a Embedded Software Technical Lead in Bourges (18), to work with a major player in the land defence sector. More technical lead than generalist project manager, you are responsible for end-to-end software development: you manage internal teams and suppliers, and you guarantee the quality, performance, costs and deadlines of the software, from development through to IVVQ.

Your missions

• Technically lead embedded software development: planning, progress tracking, technical trade-offs.

• Coordinate development and IVVQ teams (integration, verification, validation, qualification).

• Manage software suppliers and subcontractors: defining requirements, tracking deliveries, technical reviews, acceptance of deliverables.

• Guarantee software quality: compliance with processes and development standards, quality indicators, anomaly tracking.

• Monitor the technical performance of the software: requirements compliance, maturity, test campaign results.

• Control costs, workload and deadlines: budget, remaining work, alerts and action plans.

• Prepare and run software milestone reviews and ensure documentation follow-up.

• Provide reporting to the project management and identify technical risks.

Profile sought

• Qualification: Master's level (engineering school or Master's degree) in computer science, embedded systems or electronics.

• Experience: a minimum of 8 years in embedded software, with a technical background in development or IVVQ, and at least 3 years of technical leadership (software package manager, development lead, Software Project Leader).

• Skills: solid understanding of embedded software development and IVVQ, V-cycle and Agile methods, management of suppliers or subcontractors, monitoring of costs, deadlines and workload, software quality assurance, preparation of milestone reviews.

• Desirable: defence or aeronautics environment, critical software development standards, tracking tools (JIRA or equivalent), multi-team management.

• French nationality required: the position is subject to defence security clearance.

• Soft skills: technical leadership, ability to arbitrate, commitment to quality, negotiation skills, clear communication and a talent for synthesis.
