The team behind the genius

Our Road Networks team delivers major projects that help ensure safe and efficient mobility for communities.

We work on large-scale projects for the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD), from planning to delivery, including design, management and supervision of works.

We are looking for an experienced project manager to take on major road mandates and coordinate our teams in the field.

Our expertise is diverse, and what about you?

As a project manager, you will be at the heart of delivering road projects for the MTMD. You will oversee the overall management of the mandates entrusted to you and act as a key contact for the client, contractors, professionals and supervision teams.

You will be responsible for ensuring the proper execution of works in compliance with the plans and specifications, contractual requirements, schedules, budgets and applicable standards.

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensure the management and coordination of road projects for the MTMD;

  • Act as the main representative to the client and the various stakeholders;

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of the teams assigned to projects;

  • Lead the supervision or design teams and ensure their mobilisation;

  • Monitor progress of works, costs, schedules and deliverables;

  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, standards, contractual requirements and quality standards;

  • Monitor quantities, completed works and payment requests;

  • Take part in managing changes, issues, non-conformities and claims, when required;

  • Coordinate communications with the client, contractors, professionals and other stakeholders;

  • Lead and take part in site and project meetings;

  • Produce or supervise the preparation of reports, minutes and monitoring documents;

  • Identify risks and put in place the measures needed to ensure the successful delivery of projects;

  • Ensure the quality of services provided and compliance with MTMD requirements;

  • Contribute to business development and maintain strong relationships with clients;

  • Take part in preparing service proposals and developing new mandates, as opportunities arise.

Our essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a relevant or equivalent discipline;

  • Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

  • Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, project management or road infrastructure;

  • Significant experience in road project management and/or supervision;

  • Experience on projects carried out for the MTMD, a strong asset;

  • Good knowledge of the standards, methods and practices applicable to MTMD road projects;

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and supervision staff;

  • Excellent project management, planning and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to manage several stakeholders and priorities simultaneously;

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;

  • Leadership, professional judgement and a high degree of autonomy;

  • Valid driver's licence;

  • Availability to travel to different sites as project needs require.
