About the role

Translated into English from German by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.

Your Role
As Senior Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper you are the backbone of our finance function and make a decisive contribution to advancing the scalability of our general ledger accounting. In our modern SAP S/4HANA environment you take responsibility for complex closing processes, ensure flawless data quality across our subsystems and design intercompany workflows. With your accounting expertise you transform classic bookkeeping into highly automated, future-proof finance processes and lay the foundation for FINN's global growth.

Your Mission

  • Master the General Ledger: You independently manage and reconcile the general ledgers for selected companies and guarantee complete, legally compliant bookkeeping in accordance with HGB.
  • Drive financial closings: You proactively drive the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and act as a competent point of contact during audits and tax reviews.
  • Optimise data & automation: You ensure data quality between operational subsystems and the general ledger and identify new automation potential through targeted controls.
  • Manage complex structures: You take care of complex financial instruments and successfully drive special projects, such as accounting for ABS structures or receivables sales.
  • Streamline intercompany workflows: You are responsible for the smooth reconciliation and charging between our companies and establish efficient, group-wide finance processes.
  • Ensure compliance & guidelines: You ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations and our internal guidelines and act as a reliable sparring partner within the team.

Your Profile

    Must have:
  • Solid accounting expertise: Many years of proven professional experience in general ledger accounting, ideally gained in a dynamic financial services, fintech or scale-up environment.
  • Strong HGB and special structure knowledge: In-depth expertise in accounting under HGB, as well as demonstrable experience in handling complex financial instruments (e.g. ABS structures or receivables sales), combined with a relevant degree or a qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK).
  • Systems & ERP affinity: In-depth experience in using and optimising modern ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA), as well as a strongly analytical, structured and numerate way of working.
  • Solution-oriented communication skills: Pronounced team spirit and the ability to convey complex matters precisely - in German (min. B2) as well as with good, confident English skills.
  • Nice to have:
  • IFRS knowledge: Initial practical exposure or in-depth knowledge of international accounting under IFRS.
  • Process automation: Experience working closely with product or tech teams to automate interfaces and finance subsystems.
