ABGi Technology is recruiting on behalf of its client, a large industrial group in the energy sector, for its future Load Balancing Operations Expert F/H, based in Lyon.

🔎 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the maintenance in operational conditions and the evolution of its IT infrastructure, our client wishes to strengthen its teams with an experienced Load Balancing Operations Expert.

You will work on critical load distribution infrastructure, essential to the availability, performance and service continuity of applications and information systems.

Your role will be to ensure the administration, operation, supervision and maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) of Load Balancing solutions, mainly around HAProxy and F5 technologies.

You will work in collaboration with the infrastructure, network, systems, production and operations teams, as well as the various technical contacts involved in these environments.

The missions requested of you:

• Manage and coordinate maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) activities for load distribution infrastructure;

• Ensure the administration, operation and monitoring of HAProxy and F5 Load Balancing solutions;

• Guarantee the availability, stability and service continuity of the infrastructure operated;

• Supervise the proper functioning of load distribution equipment and services;

• Analyse infrastructure performance and identify any saturation or degradation points;

• Carry out routine administration, configuration and maintenance operations for the solutions;

• Take part in the diagnosis and resolution of technical incidents affecting Load Balancing services;

• Analyse recurring problems, identify their causes and propose lasting corrective actions;

• Contribute to change management and technical maintenance operations;

• Take part in risk analysis related to interventions on production infrastructure;

• Monitor availability, performance and service quality indicators;

• Take part in operational committees and follow-up meetings on operational activities;

• Produce technical reports and ensure reporting on MCO activities;

• Collaborate with network, systems, security and application teams to resolve cross-functional issues;

• Take part in studies and the implementation of technical evolutions of the infrastructure;

• Propose improvements aimed at strengthening the reliability, performance and resilience of the solutions;

• Contribute to optimising operational processes and continuous improvement;

• Maintain and enrich technical documentation, operating procedures and intervention instructions.

🎯 OUR REQUIREMENTS

Required skills and experience:

• Significant experience in the operation and administration of Load Balancing infrastructure;

• Good command of HAProxy and F5 technologies;

• Solid understanding of the principles of load distribution, high availability and service continuity;

• Good knowledge of network architectures and IT production environments;

• Command of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS and SSL/TLS;

• Experience in maintenance in operational conditions (MCO) of critical infrastructure;

• Ability to administer, configure, supervise and maintain load distribution solutions;

• Experience in analysing, diagnosing and resolving technical incidents;

• Good understanding of availability, performance and resilience issues of infrastructure;

• Ability to analyse malfunctions and propose suitable technical solutions;

• Experience in managing changes and interventions in production environments;

• Ability to work with several technical teams and take part in operational follow-up bodies;

• Ability to produce clear and usable technical documentation.

The following skills are real assets:

• Advanced administration of F5 BIG-IP / LTM solutions;

• Configuration and optimisation of HAProxy services;

• Management of SSL/TLS certificates and SSL termination mechanisms;

• Knowledge of high availability, redundancy and automatic failover architectures;

• Command of Health Checks, Persistence, Reverse Proxy and Traffic Management mechanisms;

• Knowledge of Linux environments;

• Experience with supervision, monitoring and log analysis tools;

• Knowledge of ITIL processes: incidents, problems and changes;

• Experience in automating administration or operations tasks;

• Awareness of network security and application flow security issues;

• Experience in complex IT environments or those with high availability requirements.

Experience within a large group or a demanding industrial environment is a real advantage, particularly in the sectors of energy, critical infrastructure, telecommunications, banking or industry.

👤 PROFILE SOUGHT

Holding a Bac+2 to Bac+5 qualification in IT, systems, networks or an equivalent field, you can demonstrate significant experience in the operation of network infrastructure and load distribution solutions.

You have operational experience with HAProxy and/or F5 technologies, ideally gained in production environments with strong availability constraints.

You are able to work on both daily operational activities and on incident management, performance analysis and infrastructure evolution.

Autonomous, rigorous and methodical, you have an excellent service orientation and know how to work effectively in complex technical environments.

You enjoy teamwork and are comfortable communicating with a variety of contacts: network, systems, production, security teams, operations managers and application teams.

Your ability to anticipate incidents, make infrastructure more reliable and contribute to continuous improvement will be essential to succeed in this role.
