Solution Architect - Finance & Operations

Balder is currently undergoing one of the largest transformation journeys in the company's history - a new financial system, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, is being implemented alongside a new data platform and master data. As a Solution Architect, you will take technical responsibility for our F&O platform. You will design how the solutions are built and scaled over time, with the mandate to provide technical recommendations and set the direction within your area.

About the role

Today, the focus is on the financial processes in Dynamics 365 F&O, but it is a platform under construction. Over time, it will also support our property and rental administration, and you will help shape how that journey will look.

You and our product owner for the area share responsibility for the platform, but in different ways: the product owner owns the needs, prioritisation, and roadmap and is responsible for developing, standardising, and automating our business processes. You own the technical design, choices, and quality of what is built.

When it comes to integrations, you will work closely with our Enterprise Architect and our integration team. Your responsibility is the integrations that pertain specifically to the F&O platform, not the integration landscape as a whole.

The quick version:

• You will design solution architecture within Dynamics 365 F&O and provide technical recommendations regarding solutions, customisations, and third-party products.

• You will lead the technical work towards developers and our implementation partner, and ensure the quality of configuration and solution design.

• You will, together with the Enterprise Architect and the integration team, ensure that the integrations of the F&O platform are well designed and cohesive with other systems.

• You will identify and counteract technical debt and over-customisation in the platform.

What we are looking for

You have deep experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You may be an experienced Solution Architect or a Tech Lead ready for the next step. Regardless, you share our belief that business value should drive technical choices and the way forward. The role requires that you can to some extent step in and solve technical issues yourself, not just coordinate them.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Several years of experience with Power Platform (Power Apps).

• Experience in solution architecture and implementation of business-critical platforms.

• Strong technical understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data models.

• Good understanding of financial and business processes.

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience with Azure and related platform components.

• Experience in governance, standardisation, and platform management.

• Experience from the property industry and/or rental administration.

• Experience in solution architecture and development within other Dynamics applications (e.g., D365 Customer Engagement).

Formal education is not something we place importance on - it is experience that counts.
