What we are looking for

We are looking for an IT Solution Architect with proven experience in solution architecture roles, with high technical maturity and the ability to lead the definition and evolution of complex technology solutions in IT consulting environments.

Beyond technical knowledge, we particularly value functional experience, analytical skills, structured requirements gathering and expertise in designing solutions aligned with business needs.

The position is hybrid in Madrid, requiring on-site presence approximately once a week at the client's office in Madrid.

Main responsibilities

• Define, design and evolve advanced, robust and scalable software architectures.

• Technically lead teams and projects, ensuring the best architectural practices.

• Act as the main point of contact with the client, ensuring smooth, rigorous communication geared towards generating value.

• Lead the gathering and analysis of functional and non-functional requirements.

• Design target architectures and technology evolution strategies.

• Drive innovation initiatives, participating in technical forums, events, communities or publications.

• Develop and mentor technical teams, promoting good practices, quality standards and a culture of excellence.

• Ensure the quality, security, observability and maintainability of solutions.

Profile requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in consulting or multi-project environments.

• High experience in:

  • Functional analysis and requirements gathering.

  • End-to-end solution design.

• Solid knowledge of:

  • Architecture patterns and hexagonal architecture.

  • SOLID principles.

  • Microservices / nanoservices, serverless and EDA (Event-Driven Architecture) architectures.

• Experience in:

  • Migration from monolithic architectures to microservices.

  • Queues and event platforms.

  • Architectural-level security (authentication, authorisation, identity).

  • Solution observability (logs, metrics, traces).

• Mandatory mastery of:

  • Spring Framework and the Java ecosystem.

  • API Management, REST / SOAP and service API-isation.

  • Decoupling strategies and breaking up monoliths.

  • Security: JWT, OAuth, SAML, Identity Management.

  • JavaScript architectures (Angular, React…).

• Experience in:

  • DevOps / Continuous delivery.

  • Software quality and agile methodologies.

  • SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle…) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis…).

  • Cloud: AWS, Azure and/or GCP.

  • BI / Big Data.
