Your mission
Energy costs in Europe are twice as high as in the USA and China. At the same time, electricity demand is expected to double by 2050. Market price volatility and increasing complexity will remain with us. This puts the backbone of European industry under pressure - and companies need to act now.
trawa is building the solution: the first integrated B2B energy platform that combines energy procurement, energy management and the control of flexibilities in one product. Supply, Manage, Flex - combined. This integration enables savings of up to 30% on recurring electricity costs and at the same time supports companies in switching to renewable energy.
We are Europe's fastest-growing B2B energy platform. We are currently active in Germany and Austria and plan to expand our activities to a third market in 2027. Our goal is European-wide scaling. We move fast - the market window is open, and we want to seize it.
trawa is a scale-up based in Berlin with around 100 employees, about 30 of them in Product & Tech. To date, we have raised more than 35 million euros, including a Series A funding round of 24 million euros in May 2025. Our investors include Balderton, Headline, Speedinvest, AENU, Magnetic and Tiny VC. All three founders remain actively involved and are 100% committed to building the energy utility of the future.
We are looking for a Team Lead Sales Development (SDR) to reach the next growth stage together. You will report directly to our Head of Sales and work closely with our Commercial teams. You will help shape the product that makes European industry competitive again - and implement your ideas at high speed.
The position is based in Berlin. trawa is an office-first company: as a rule, you will work from our office five days a week.
The trawa SDR team is a central growth driver for the company and one of our most important channels for generating new customer relationships. The currently six-person team brings together diverse sales experience and thus creates a dynamic environment. After a phase of strong growth, the focus is now on expanding this success further and jointly shaping the next growth step.
As a player-coach, you take responsibility for the success of the SDR team while also being operationally active yourself. You spend the majority of your time on cold calling and lead by example with your own performance.
You are holistically responsible for team performance, steer goal achievement and continuously develop the team.
You identify optimisation potential in processes and structures, actively bring in the team's perspective and implement improvements together with the relevant stakeholders in the company.
You are a key part of the recruiting process for new SDRs and, together with the team, ensure a structured and successful onboarding of new team members.
You have built a solid understanding of our products and the energy market.
You have established yourself as the go-to contact for all topics relating to the SDR team.
Your own performance in cold calling sets new benchmarks.
You have identified first optimisation potentials for increasing team performance and derived concrete measures from them.
Communication strength, persuasiveness and a high level of assertiveness set you apart.
You easily get into conversation with people, understand needs and present suitable solutions convincingly.
You approach tasks with initiative and a clear focus on results.
You think analytically and in a structured way: you enjoy breaking complex processes into individual steps, recognise optimisation potential and make decisions based on figures and metrics.
You have extensive experience with sales methods and techniques.
Experience in the energy industry is a plus, but not a must.
Impact: European SMEs spend between 150,000 and 10 million euros a year on electricity - many of them overpay and are tied to outdated procurement models. With our product, you will directly change how thousands of companies buy, manage and use energy. The impact is measurable, the market is huge and the timing is now.
Responsibility: At trawa, you take responsibility for your areas and drive results forward - regardless of your background or previous professional experience.
Learning and development: We provide you with an annual training budget and fixed time for your personal and professional development. Expect mentoring, diverse learning opportunities and genuine prospects for your next career step.
Diversity and inclusion: We are an employer that lives equal opportunities, and our team reflects this. People from more than 15 nations bring together different languages, experiences and perspectives. At trawa, family-friendliness is a matter of course at all levels - parents work in our team and in leadership. We are committed to an inclusive environment in which everyone can give their best.
Compensation and benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package with salary and stock options, 30 days of holiday and numerous benefits. These include subsidies for internet and lunch, a membership of a sports club, fixed learning days with an annual training budget, a weekly team lunch and regular team events.
At trawa, we are building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace. If the position excites you but your career path does not match every point of the requirements profile, we still welcome your application. Perhaps you are exactly the right person for this or another position with us.
