We are looking for a project manager for land and civil engineering projects for a consultancy assignment with a municipal client.

The place of posting is Lund.

The assignment involves close cooperation with the client, which places great demands on flexibility and collaborative ability.

The assignment

The assignment concerns project management mainly within development projects and reconstruction and extension projects on public land. The projects may include, among other things, street and park land, carriageways, pedestrian and cycle paths, lighting, planting, stormwater storage and water and sewage (VA).

The project manager role covers both the design and contracting phases.

As the client's representative, the consultant shall independently drive design and/or contracts with the help of external consultants and contractors. Investigation work may also occur, as well as projects carried out together with the client's own delivery organisation.

The project manager shall drive the projects in accordance with adopted project directives and objectives and actively work to ensure the project goals are achieved with the right quality, within budget and according to schedule.

The role involves extensive coordination and dialogue with internal expertise and external actors such as the fire and rescue service, utility owners, public transport operators, developers, property owners and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate projects through the design and contracting phases.

Drive development projects and reconstruction and extension projects on public land.

Coordinate the client's internal project group, technical managers, external consultants and contractors.

Initiate, order and drive necessary investigations.

Prepare basis for call-offs from framework agreements, for example of designers.

Lead the work of contracted designers in preparing tender documentation ahead of contractor procurement.

Lead and follow up the preparation of estimates in the various project stages.

Ensure that the necessary permits for the projects are obtained.

Act as requirements owner during the procurement of contractors.

Drive procured contracts and ensure that the established targets for budget, quality and time are achieved.

Represent the client at the projects' site meetings.

Be responsible for financial follow-up and monthly forecasts.

Report project status to the project manager.

Convene final inspection and handover meetings.

Be responsible for handing over completed projects to the administration.

Actively follow up and document the projects in the client's project tools.

Requirements (mandatory)

Relevant technical education from a university, college or upper secondary school or equivalent

Experience of financial management, project follow-up, schedules

Good ability to lead and coordinate several actors, such as internal and external stakeholders

Category B driving licence

At least 10 years of professional experience from consultancy/municipal/state activities as assignment manager/project manager for civil engineering projects

Has held the role of assignment manager/project manager in at least two assignments equivalent to the one described here

Good knowledge of the AMA Anläggning, MER Anläggning, AB 04 and ABT 06 regulations

Good knowledge of contract law

Knowledge of handling BAS-U and BAS-P

Experience of design management

Experience from two project manager assignments, within the relevant area, where the construction sum exceeded SEK 20 million.

Command of the Swedish language well, both spoken and written
