 Team Introduction

The Coupang Eats Ads Sales team is a core group within the Ad Sales division that leads strategic partnerships with large brands (Enterprise), agencies and major franchise partners and drives maximum advertising revenue. We are looking for a Senior/Lead Business Analyst who demonstrates unique expertise in this area and uses data to gain insight into market trends and the business mechanics of our partners.

Going beyond simple metric monitoring or after-the-fact reporting, you will prove with data the answer to ‘Why Coupang Eats Ads?’. You will define the key numbers for the strategic pitch deck that will persuade C-Level and key marketing decision-makers (CMO/VP), and act as a data strategist who, from a business development perspective, drives both advertiser growth and Coupang Eats revenue expansion at the same time.

Main Responsibilities

1. Discovering market and category opportunities from a BD & Sales perspective

  • Precise analysis of market and competitive environment: Using SQL and BI tools, analyse in depth the structural changes by category, region and time of day across delivery platforms, QSR and F&B markets.
  • Deriving BD discovery indicators: Identify hidden demand within categories that partners are not aware of (market share gap, unpenetrated regions, conversion rates of target customer groups, etc.) and derive market insights that will become the key hook for new business proposals.

2. Designing strategic numbers for sales proposals

  • Producing pitch-ready data: Design and validate ‘impactful storytelling data’ to be included in pitch decks for C-Level/CMO audiences at top-tier brands and agencies.
  • ROI/incremental lift analysis: Rigorously and statistically validate the real business impact of Coupang Eats ad spend on a brand's net incremental sales, customer LTV and market share growth, building the logic for partners' budget upsell.

3. Building advanced Sales Enablement & analytics frameworks

  • Developing strategic frameworks: Rather than simple performance reports, establish frameworks usable across the entire sales pipeline, such as diagnosis of marketing efficiency by advertiser and forecasting/projection models for expected sales.
  • Building visibility tools for C-Level and external engagement: Directly design and build frameworks for internal sales strategy and advanced dashboards for large external partners.

4. Advertiser optimisation and revenue maximisation strategy proposals

  • Business impact-focused proposals: Diagnose advertising efficiency according to brands' menu strategy, pricing policy, targeting and promotion mix, and propose tailored growth roadmaps for each advertiser.
  • A/B testing and machine learning/performance modelling: Lead A/B tests of ad performance and module optimisation experiments, and support partners in confirming their marketing ROI based on analysis of ad delivery logic.

Requirements

  • Candidates with at least 7 years of practical experience in data analysis, business analysis (BA), strategy consulting or BD strategy
  • Candidates who can independently structure complex data, develop strategy and complete sales targeting logic
  • Candidates who can go beyond cleaning data and translate into clear business language what a figure means for the business and how it can persuade an advertiser in a pitch deck
  • Candidates with advanced SQL skills and extensive experience in complex data modelling and automation using Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates from e-commerce, O2O, AdTech or top-tier strategy consulting firms with experience in data-driven BD proposal writing and business opportunity discovery
  • Pitch deck visualisation and storytelling excellence: candidates with experience producing data facts and visual slides that directly contributed to closing major advertiser deals
  • Advanced analytics capability: candidates with a deep understanding of Python/R-based statistical analysis, A/B test design and validation, and performance value measurement (such as attribution modelling)
  • Successful revenue impact experience: candidates with a concrete track record of data-driven proposals that actually drove advertiser budget increases and major contract wins, rather than simply completing reports
