Your role

We are now looking for a junior doctor or licensed physician with experience of ASIH and palliative care for a longer consultancy assignment within advanced home healthcare, ASIH, and specialised palliative inpatient care, SPSV, in area 5 of Stockholm.

Start: Immediately
Scope: By agreement
Working hours: Daytime weekdays, according to the needs of the service
Assignment period: Immediately until at least 31 January 2027

The service is based at premises at Gamla Karolinska Hospital. The assignment covers ASIH in area 5, which includes the inner city, Lidingö and Solna, as well as a specialised palliative inpatient ward with 12 beds. The ASIH service covers approximately 60 patients.

As a consultant you will become part of a service that provides person-centred and coordinated care for patients with complex medical and palliative care needs. You will work in close collaboration with a multiprofessional team including, among others, doctors, nurses, assistant nurses and rehabilitation professionals.

The duties include, among others:

• Medical assessments, treatments and follow-ups within ASIH and SPSV.

• Ward rounds and medical reviews in a multiprofessional team.

• Home visits within the ASIH service.

• Collaboration with patients, next of kin and other care providers.

• Contributing to good continuity, security and quality in palliative care.

About you

We are looking for you who are a junior doctor or licensed physician and have experience of work within ASIH, specialised palliative care or other care for patients with complex medical needs.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and express yourself fluently in speech and writing. You are confident in your professional role and able to work independently within the scope of the assignment, while also appreciating close collaboration with other professions and the responsible specialist physician.

As a person you are communicative, flexible and solution-oriented. You contribute commitment, professionalism and a good manner in meeting patients, next of kin and colleagues. You thrive in a varied assignment where the work includes both care in the patient's home and work on a palliative inpatient ward.

A Swedish B driving licence and driving experience are required for the assignment, as home visits are part of the work.
