Your team and your mission
Good People Operations is recognisable by things working: contracts are there on time, salaries are right and employees get clear answers. You ensure this with your team - and at the same time think ahead: what can we simplify, automate or completely redesign?
You lead our five- to six-person People Experience and Payroll team and are responsible for the operational HR processes for our supported companies in the DACH region. The team is part of Employee Tech. You report to the Head of Security & Employee Tech and work closely with People, Finance, Tax and Compensation & Benefits.
What do we expect from you?
-
You take responsibility in day-to-day business. Together with your team you steer the employee lifecycle from entry to exit. The operational support of our Executive Leadership lies directly with you - from contract changes and promotions to special payments.
-
You hold People Operations and Payroll together. You ensure that payroll-relevant changes are complete, correct and received on time. You also coordinate topics such as bonus and LTI payments, headcount cost forecasts and assignments to Spain with the relevant specialists.
-
You lead with clarity and support. You develop your team, set comprehensible priorities and guide change. Even when payroll close, audit and urgent requests coincide, you provide orientation and set constructive boundaries.
-
You shape our automation. Together with development teams you drive our PEX Hub forward: from handling HR requests through digital approvals and payroll checks to recruiting handovers and synchronisation with Workday. You translate functional requirements into practical improvements.
-
You ensure reliable processes and controls. You support audits and inspections, ensure traceable documentation and identify risks early. You keep employees proactively informed; you give management clear bases for decisions.
What do you already bring?
-
Solid HR operations experience: You have already held a comparable role in a company with at least around 500 employees or a similarly complex structure with several companies. You understand the employee lifecycle and its effects on payroll, compliance and audits holistically.
-
Professional confidence and good judgement: You apply German employment law confidently in daily work and know when to involve payroll, tax or HRBP expertise. You do not need to run payroll yourself, but you can reliably assess its requirements and dependencies.
-
First leadership experience: You have already led and developed people. You are approachable, provide orientation and strengthen collaboration - especially when tasks and ways of working are changing.
-
Clear communication and structure: You communicate fluently in German and English, prioritise even under pressure and raise risks early. You can confidently and solution-oriented represent a "For that we first need the approval" even to the Executive Leadership.
- Very good German and English skills (C1)
-
An automation-first mindset: You question routines, recognise duplicated work and implement improvements. You bring initial practical experience with Workday or a comparable enterprise HRIS as well as in using AI. You critically check results and know where human judgement and controls remain indispensable.
We want to further expand the diversity of our company and support people with disabilities accordingly in their careers. We have a representative body for severely disabled employees, which supports you in the further application process. Should you need this support, please let us know in advance.
