Group CEO for Staud Gruppen

Would you like to lead the development of a new and ambitious group in the accounting industry?

Staud Gruppen brings together solid accounting teams in one shared group. The ambition is to combine the closeness, entrepreneurial energy and strong customer relationships of local businesses with the capacity, technology and development opportunities of a larger community. The group was established in 2023 and today has four operating subsidiaries with a total of over 150 employees, around 1,700 customers and operations at nine locations. We place emphasis on close collaboration within the group, and together we will become a highly competitive and attractive player for employees and customers. Staud Gruppen has annual revenue of around NOK 200 million, with ambitions for future growth, both organically and through acquisitions of businesses that fit into the group.

We are now going to recruit our first Group CEO.

This is a rare opportunity for a market-oriented and execution-driven leader who wants to build a group, develop the businesses and create documentable results in an industry characterised by technology, consolidation and new customer needs.

The Assignment

As Group CEO, you will have overall responsibility for developing Staud Gruppen into a stronger and more integrated group with a shared commercial model, scalable work processes and clear direction. The local companies with closeness to the customer will nevertheless be retained, and the leaders of these companies will be part of your leadership group.

You will lead the implementation of the group's strategy and create profitable growth through better customer experiences, increased sales capability, more efficient delivery, technology and targeted acquisitions.

The role combines strategic leadership with operational execution. You will work closely with the board, the leaders of the portfolio companies and key professional communities. At the same time, you are expected to be visible in the organisation, close to the market and clear in your priorities.

Your Main Areas of Responsibility

As Group CEO you will, among other things:

  • translate the group's strategy into clear priorities, milestones and measurable results

  • develop a shared commercial model and advance the group's work on new sales, customer development and market position

  • further develop and productise the service offering, so that customers experience higher value, better insight and more proactive advice

  • lead the introduction of shared technology, automation and more standardised work processes

  • ensure profitable growth

  • develop joint group reporting, management information and relevant KPIs

  • drive the group's acquisition agenda and establish a robust model for integration and realisation of synergies

  • build a strong leadership tier and an effective group management team with shared goals and clear responsibility

  • develop a shared identity, while preserving local entrepreneurial energy and closeness to customers

  • represent the group to customers, banks, industry players, advisers and collaboration partners

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an experienced leader who has delivered results in a business of comparable size and complexity. Experience from a decentralised, multi-site or knowledge-intensive business is an advantage, and you understand how shared direction can be combined with local responsibility and initiative.

We believe you have several of the following experiences:

  • overall operational and P&L responsibility from a business with significant revenue and organisational size

  • leadership through other managers, preferably across companies, units or geographical locations

  • documented results from commercial development, new sales and organic growth

  • implementation of major changes to pricing models, service offering, work processes or delivery models

  • use of technology and automation to create measurable improvements for customers and the business

  • acquisition and integration of businesses, with documented synergies

  • good understanding of profitability and value creation

Experience from professional services-related business will be an advantage. Most importantly, you have the right leadership experience, commercial understanding and documented execution capability.

Your Leadership Profile

You create support among experienced and independent leaders without relying on formal authority. You build trust, while also being clear and decisive.

You are able to prioritise, close matters and maintain momentum over time. You are analytical and thorough, but do not let the need for more information hinder necessary progress.

As a leader, you are particularly characterised by the following:

  • you create results through others and build leaders who take real ownership

  • you combine a strategic perspective with high execution capability

  • you are market-oriented and comfortable in dialogue with customers and decision-makers

  • you handle complexity and conflicting interests in a trustworthy manner

  • you can bring different businesses together around a shared direction

  • you communicate convincingly, including when challenged on numbers, priorities and results

  • you have high personal integrity and good role understanding.

Why This Is an Attractive Opportunity

At Staud Gruppen you will get:

  • a central role in developing a group with clear growth ambitions

  • significant influence on strategy, organisation, commercial model and future structure

  • the opportunity to combine organic growth, technology and acquisitions

  • close collaboration with experienced leaders, owners and board members

  • responsibility for building an organisation and leadership structure that can develop further over time

Staud Gruppen describes its ambition as combining local customer relationships and personal follow-up with broader expertise, better systems and greater development capacity.
