We are looking for a senior expert in modularisation for an assignment with a client in complex product development and industrial operations.

The assignment involves leading and developing the client's work in modularisation and product architecture, in close collaboration with product management, engineering and the PLM programme, among others. The role has a clear cross-functional focus and involves driving the shift towards a more modular and scalable product architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the modularisation work together with product management and the PLM programme.

• Develop and maintain strategies, principles, governance and roadmap for modularisation.

• Work with engineering to identify reusable modules, platforms and product building blocks.

• Drive standardisation within mechanics, electrical/electronics, software and systems engineering.

• Work closely with functions in PLM, requirements management, product structure and configuration management.

• Support the development of product platforms that enable increased reuse across projects and market segments.

• Plan and facilitate workshops and create alignment among global stakeholders.

• Define and follow up KPIs linked to, among other things, maturity level in modularisation, reuse, engineering efficiency and business value.

• Ensure that modularisation principles are reflected in PLM, requirements management and other engineering tools.

• Act as a specialist and coach in modular product architecture and systems engineering.

We are looking for you who have

• A civil or bachelor's engineering degree in, for example, systems engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent.

• Several years of experience from complex product development environments.

• Documented experience of product architecture, modularisation, platform development and/or systems engineering.

• Good understanding of engineering processes, configuration management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

• Experience from, for example, manufacturing industry, energy, automation, transport, aerospace or equivalent complex industry.

• Experience of working with senior stakeholders across several functions and geographies.

• Very good communication skills and experience of leading workshops and cross-functional initiatives.

• A structured and analytical way of working.

• Experience from global and multicultural organisations.
