Welkium in the EKIUM universe!

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman/Draughtswoman at the Dunkirk office

As part of technical studies and mechanical engineering projects for industrial installations, you ensure the definition of technical solutions for industrial systems and/or lines, in the pre-project and/or execution phase, and deliver the associated deliverables.

Missions

• Definition of technical solutions: Carry out design studies of installations, define mechanical structures and actuators, propose optimal technical solutions integrating functional, normative and regulatory requirements

• 2D drawings & 3D modelling: Produce or have produced on Autocad, Solidworks or Inventor the 3D models / drawings, integrating environmental constraints and contributing trades (fluids, electrical, structures…)

• Delivery management & supervision: Establish the technical deliverables and/or supervise the draughtsmen to ensure the quality of the deliverables submitted, raise the alert in case of drift

• Technical support for costing: Assist the Activity Manager in preparing technical proposals (evaluation of services to be provided in their area of competence)

• Meetings & collaboration : Lead technical meetings with the client (technical clarification, presentation of solutions, design reviews), interact effectively with all project stakeholders (internal & external), propose technical improvements and contribute to innovation 

Profile

• Bac+2 qualification in mechanical engineering, industrial design or equivalent

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial mechanical engineering and/or special machines

• Technical skills in the design of special machines and/or handling equipment

• Knowledge of boilermaking and mechanical welding would be an advantage

• Mastery of functional dimensioning and tolerancing

• Ability to pre-dimension structures / actuators

• Ability to translate client needs into technical solutions

• Proficiency in Autocad and a 3D software package (Solidworks or Inventor)

• Team spirit, client relationship skills, rigour and organisational skills, analytical mind
