ABGi Technology is recruiting on behalf of its client, a large industrial group in the energy sector, for its future Senior IS Project Manager - IT Steering / IT4IT / AI, based in Lyon.

🔎 YOUR MISSIONS

As part of strategic digital transformation and information system modernisation programmes, our client wishes to strengthen its digital department with an experienced IS Project Manager, with solid expertise in IT governance, IT4IT approaches and the integration of artificial intelligence into IT processes.

You will work within a digital department in charge of technical foundations and data services, in a demanding industrial environment characterised by significant challenges of performance, security, service continuity and technological innovation.

Your role will consist of steering and supporting information system transformation initiatives, structuring IT governance approaches and contributing to the continuous improvement of digital services.

You will also take part in identifying and integrating new uses of generative artificial intelligence, notably in software development, IT process automation and optimisation of operational practices.

You will interact with business departments, technical teams, digital services managers, development teams, cybersecurity stakeholders and the various stakeholders of the transformation programmes.

The missions requested of you:

IS governance and steering of digital transformations:

• Take part in building, structuring and evolving the information system master plans;

• Steer and coordinate digital transformation projects and programmes;

• Contribute to defining and monitoring strategic IS roadmaps;

• Support the governance of digital services and the alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives;

• Take part in steering and prioritising IT project portfolios;

• Identify, analyse and monitor project risks, dependencies and points of vigilance;

• Coordinate the various stakeholders to ensure consistency of actions undertaken;

• Produce decision-support dashboards, performance indicators and reports for governance bodies;

• Prepare and run steering committees, project committees and coordination meetings;

• Formalise arbitrations, decisions and action plans associated with projects.

IT4IT approaches and continuous improvement:

• Support the deployment and evolution of IT4IT (Information Technology for Information Technology) approaches;

• Contribute to structuring and optimising the steering processes of IT services;

• Promote the alignment of operational practices with ITIL and IT4IT frameworks;

• Identify areas for improvement in processes and digital services;

• Take part in defining and implementing continuous improvement plans;

• Contribute to optimising the performance, quality and efficiency of IT services;

• Support teams in adopting new governance methods and practices.

Artificial intelligence and IT innovation:

• Identify opportunities to use generative artificial intelligence in IT activities;

• Study AI use cases applied to software development, UX Design and IT processes;

• Support reflections and initiatives to integrate AI solutions into professional practices;

• Take part in assessing the feasibility, benefits and impacts of new AI uses;

• Identify possibilities for automating and optimising IT processes;

• Contribute to formulating recommendations on the adoption and use of AI solutions;

• Support innovation approaches while taking into account technical, organisational and security constraints.

Coordination, facilitation and support of teams:

• Organise and facilitate workshops, coordination meetings and governance committees;

• Ensure communication between business and technical teams and the various departments concerned;

• Prepare presentation materials and summaries for decision-makers;

• Monitor project progress and ensure visibility on deadlines, risks and dependencies;

• Support teams in evolving working methods and processes;

• Take into account cybersecurity, safety and regulatory compliance issues in transformation approaches;

• Contribute to coordinating initiatives involving DevOps and CI/CD environments;

• Produce and maintain the documentation required for project governance and monitoring.

As part of your activities, you will in particular be required to produce:

• IS master plans and transformation roadmaps;

• Steering dashboards and performance indicators;

• Scoping studies and risk analyses;

• Governance files and committee materials;

• Minutes, summaries and decision-support documents;

• Recommendations on uses of artificial intelligence;

• Action and continuous improvement plans.

🎯 OUR REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory skills and experience:

• More than 7 years of professional experience in IS project management, IT programme steering or IT governance;

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification mandatory;

• Significant experience in steering digital transformation projects or programmes;

• In-depth knowledge of the IT4IT framework and approaches;

• Good command of ITIL frameworks and IT service management processes;

• Strong skills in IS governance, project portfolio management and building digital roadmaps;

• Command of generative artificial intelligence tools and understanding of their applications in professional IT environments;

• Experience in producing reports, dashboards, performance indicators and decision-support materials;

• Ability to prepare and run workshops, steering committees and meetings involving varied stakeholders;

• Experience in identifying, analysing and monitoring risks and dependencies;

• Ability to structure transformation approaches and support their implementation;

• Excellent communication, analytical, summarising and formalising skills.

The following skills are real advantages:

• Experience in building IS master plans and governing transformation programmes;

• Knowledge of cybersecurity, information system safety and regulatory compliance issues;

• Understanding of the technical and organisational environments of a digital department;

• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines;

• Experience in identifying or supporting generative AI use cases;

• Knowledge of AI applications in software development and UX Design;

• Experience in automation and optimisation of IT processes;

• Command of the Microsoft 365 environment: SharePoint, Outlook and collaborative tools;

• Use of visual management and project tracking tools;

• Good knowledge of Windows 11 environments;

• Experience in supporting change management and continuous improvement of IT services.

Experience within a large industrial group or a complex IT environment is a genuine advantage, particularly in the energy, critical infrastructure, transport or industry sectors.

👤 PROFILE SOUGHT

Holding a Bac+5 (master's level) in computing, information systems, project management or an equivalent field, you can demonstrate more than 7 years of professional experience in steering IS projects, IT governance or digital transformation.

Ideally you have worked as a Senior IS Project Manager, Delivery Manager, IS Steering Manager or IT Transformation Programme Manager.

You must hold the PMP certification and have proven expertise in project management, as well as in-depth knowledge of IT4IT approaches and ITIL frameworks.

You are able to take a high-level view of IS issues while understanding the operational and technical constraints of IT teams.

You have a real sensitivity to digital innovation and artificial intelligence issues, and know how to identify opportunities to improve IT practices and processes.

Autonomous, rigorous, organised and with an excellent analytical mind, you are comfortable in complex environments involving many stakeholders.

Your ability to bring teams together, structure governance approaches, facilitate decision-making bodies and communicate with technical and strategic stakeholders will be essential to succeed in this role.

• Organisation: on-site presence in Lyon at least 1 day per week
