About the role
Translated into English from German by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
From Europe, for Europe - we are building Europe's business AI.
We are the largest AI start-up in Aachen.
SMEs benefit when internal knowledge becomes immediately usable and intelligent agents can respond to it. We believe in a future in which business AI, including agents within amber and other platforms, works on a shared context layer, so that teams work faster, handovers happen seamlessly and know-how stays within the company.
Do you constantly ask yourself at work: "How can we make our infrastructure even more efficient?" - Then help us take our cross-system AI platform to the next level. We are looking for a (Senior) DevOps Engineer who brings the passion and expertise to develop our platform further, making it even more stable and scalable.
You are responsible for automating our product and our setup processes to reduce manual workload at amber
You work closely with our development team to optimise daily deployments of new software versions and the resolution of technical issues
You design, implement and document the improvement of our security measures for our customers as well as for external audits
You scale deployments for dozens of customers, including large databases, container orchestration and cloud-native tools
You keep a close eye on our incident response, work on root cause analysis and the recovery of our services to ensure minimal downtime
You set up and maintain a robust monitoring and alerting solution to proactively detect and resolve issues within our platform
You have gained professional experience with Linux-based systems (Windows Server is a plus)
You are familiar with deploying and managing workloads across multiple cloud providers
You have practical experience with K8s management, container orchestration and related cloud-native technologies
You have a strong understanding of development and operations cycles, including CI/CD pipelines
You are familiar with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform)
You have experience managing data streams with tools such as Grafana, Kibana or Prometheus
You communicate confidently and reliably - in German and in English - with various stakeholders
We put our ambitions above our egos. We are a young, highly ambitious team; your ambition must be stronger than your ego
You reliably see started tasks through to completion and take end-to-end ownership
You have basic programming skills and feel comfortable in Java or Python (experience with Rust or Go is a plus)
Team offsites - as you will be working in an international team, we all meet twice a year somewhere in Europe
You have the choice: either a subsidised Deutschlandticket or an Urban Sports Club membership is on us
We live a hybrid working model: we believe it is important to collaborate regularly in person. That is why we meet 3 times a week at one of our locations
To make sure you are well looked after on site, every working day on site you receive digital, tax-free meal vouchers directly on your phone
Attractive pay. In addition, we reward outstanding employees with company shares, allowing them to share directly in the company's success
Start at a company that lets you grow - whether you want to develop your skills in your area or learn other abilities
We support your personal development through further training and room for self-responsibility
A team of motivated people who want to make AI solutions accessible to medium-sized businesses too
Work with the latest technologies & tools 🔨
