About the Role
At Veeam, our Systems Engineers work closely with Sales and help make our product portfolio known to our partners, resellers and end users. Grow with Veeam and gain valuable experience at the same time in one of the hottest areas of today's IT.
Location: Frankfurt am Main area, Gießen, Wiesbaden, Darmstadt
Your responsibilities:
- Delivering presentations and demonstrations at live and virtual customer meetings (Commercial)
- Implementing and managing POCs through to technical completion
- Supporting lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
- Working with the customer/partner to define and translate business goals into technical requirements
- Independently advising customers to provide technical expertise on data protection
- Close collaboration with the sales team to win new partners and customers
- Close collaboration with product management to gather customer feedback
- Supporting pre-sales customers in evaluating Veeam software
Your profile:
- Proven experience in solution sales and/or technical pre-sales preferred
- Industry experience with data protection technologies
- Industry experience in storage, network and/or cloud technologies is highly desirable
- Experience working with monitoring tools and frameworks
- Proven experience with virtualisation technologies
- Ability to work independently with limited instructions in a fast-paced environment; energetic, motivated personality able to quickly get up to speed with new technologies
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities
- A VMCE certification would be an advantage - employees have the opportunity to obtain VMCE and also VMCA once they have started in the role.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region
Bonus Skills:
- Deploying software solutions in complex environments
- In-depth understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you must be able to present to groups in English and German
- Industry-relevant professional certifications are desirable
