About the role
Translated into English from German by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
AniCura Braunschweig am Ölper See is a modern and established small animal practice in the Ölper district. We treat dogs, cats and pet animals in an appointment-based consultation with clearly structured processes, personal care and a versatile medical range. Our facilities include, among other things, echocardiography, veterinary dentistry, endoscopy and comprehensive in-house diagnostics.
For our team we are looking for an experienced veterinarian who will take over practice management, bear medical responsibility and actively shape the further development of our site together with AniCura. The current management will be available to you for a structured handover and induction. Over time, there is the opportunity to grow into the management of the practice.
We are looking for, with immediate effect, a
Senior Veterinarian / Practice Manager for Small Animals
full-time at our Braunschweig site.
Your tasks
As practice manager, you will step by step take on professional and organisational responsibility for the site and, together with the team, ensure high-quality veterinary care.
In small animal consultations you will treat dogs, cats and pet animals and remain the medical point of contact, including for more complex cases.
You will support the veterinary team in the daily practice routine, provide professional guidance and foster collegial, reliable cooperation.
You will develop medical standards, practice processes and professional focus areas together with the team, the current management and the AniCura network.
You will advise pet owners clearly, empathetically and reliably - from the first examination through to further treatment planning.
Your profile:
You hold a completed degree in veterinary medicine and a German veterinary licence (Approbation).
Several years of experience in small animal medicine give you the confidence to take on medical and professional responsibility.
Initial leadership experience is helpful but not essential - more important are willingness to take responsibility, clarity and enjoyment of developing a team.
A specialist veterinary qualification, additional designation or a personal professional focus is welcome but not a requirement.
You communicate with pet owners and colleagues in an appreciative, reliable and eye-level manner.
We offer you:
A responsible role as practice manager in a modern small animal practice with a versatile medical range and established regional reputation.
A structured induction and handover by the current management, so that you can grow confidently into your new role.
A clear development perspective, with the prospect of taking over the management of the practice.
Individual continuing education, training and specialisation opportunities, as well as support for your personal career development within AniCura.
An open team, clear practice processes and the backing of a strong AniCura network on professional, organisational and business matters.
At AniCura, what you bring counts: we want our team to be as diverse as the people we work for, which is why we welcome applications regardless of gender, origin, age, religion or belief, disability or sexual identity. Support in the application process is available at any time - just give us a signal.
