About the role
Translated into English from Danish by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
Would you like to help develop solutions that support some of the financial sector's most business-critical systems - while also setting the direction for how they should evolve in the coming years?
At Bankdata, you get the opportunity to combine hands-on software development with technical leadership. You become a central sparring partner in the team and gain significant influence over architecture, technology choices and development practices in a complex system landscape that creates value every day for thousands of Danes.
The mission: Develop solutions with long-term technical valueYou will become part of a cross-functional DevOps team consisting of software developers, a Product Owner, a business consultant and a UX consultant. Together, you are responsible for the development, operation and further development of solutions that support the housing and mortgage credit area.
The team works in sprints and has the freedom to professionally assess and make technical decisions within our given framework at Bankdata. We prioritise high quality, knowledge sharing and shared responsibility, and we actively use AI tools as part of our development work. This frees up time for what creates the most value: well-considered technical decisions, thoughtful architecture, and secure and robust solutions.
We are looking for a senior profile who wants to contribute to our good employee culture and make their mark on our housing products, challenge existing architecture, think long-term and help shape the technical direction - both within the team and across the organisation.
Your contribution - Set direction with modern software developmentAs a senior software developer, you will have a central role in both development and technical sparring. You will, among other things:
develop and further develop business-critical solutions with a focus on quality, stability and scalability
drive decisions on architecture, technology choices and the long-term development of our system landscape
facilitate professional sparring, code reviews and knowledge sharing in the team
work closely with the Product Owner, business consultants, UX and other development teams on complex problems that may be loosely defined, create new insights and propose solutions
challenge existing solutions and help improve our development methods, practices and technical platforms in the housing area.
In the first 6-12 months you will
build a deep understanding of the mortgage credit area and our system landscape
create an overview of the architecture across the team and the organisation
take a central role in the architectural decisions that underpin our technical direction
establish strong relationships with the team and your most important collaboration partners
You are motivated by developing solutions that stand the test of time, and you thrive on combining software development with technical sparring, business understanding and strategic decisions.
We imagine that you:
have solid experience with software development in Java and modern backend technologies such as Quarkus, microservices and container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, and not least message-based architectures (MQ)
have experience driving architectural decisions in complex system landscapes, so that they are observable, resilient and recoverable
have demonstrated your ability to tackle loosely defined tasks, create knowledge and insight, and turn it into solid long-term solutions
can break down large and complex tasks into smaller and more manageable parts that can be continuously put into production and create value
work in a structured way and focus on quality throughout the entire process from idea to daily operation
proactively like to share your knowledge and are motivated by developing both solutions and colleagues in the area
seek out knowledge about software engineering trends on your own and want to drive the adoption of best practices and new technologies, and also see AI as a natural tool in modern software development.
If you have experience with Angular, microfrontends or development in regulated domains, it is an advantage - but not a prerequisite.
What do we offer? At Bankdata, you get the chance to set direction for both technology and working methods in an organisation where software development is the core business.
Among other things, you can look forward to:
significant influence on architecture, technology choices and the long-term technical direction
a good professional community with room for sparring, knowledge sharing and good discussions
exciting technical challenges in a complex and business-critical domain
